  • Right. Here we fuckin' go!

  • I was disappointed that you all looked quite fresh after the coast road. What time did you get back into Norwich?

  • Chris and i made it to Sprowston at 14:20. Stopped for a pint at the woodman pub (at the crossroads) then he headed off to town and i peeled off to the heatsease for a roast dinner at gems grammy n grampys. Winner. How quick did you do it?

  • Got in at half one. Reckon I was about 5h40 in the saddle but Nick got in at 2 and was 5h45 so I might have been quicker. Less stopping to piss next time.

Don't envy you lot on fixed, that coast road was a real arse in places.

  • Haha. I still havent pissed yet. Since 7:45. That headwind was killer. Suppose if ya were in the pack, you wouldnt have felt it so bad. Glad to be back. Just had my roast. Now drinking coffee. Come on piss. Come on piss.

  • I got back to the Cathedral at 3:10 and had a beer.
6h25 riding time which is the same as last year.

I wonder if the guy on inline skates is back yet?

  • I saw those guys with the sidecar, I hope they shared the work!

  • I saw them at the end, assume they just did 50? What scary time did you get Gavin?

  • I heard at the half way break in Sherringham that they actually did the 50, but with shortcuts. That is fair enough me thinks.

  • Stiffman and Howard did a short 50 on the side hack.

met them at the finish then down at Toms workshop.

Me, Scoobs and Stu managed 5h35, me and scoobs on singlespeed (I was on 35c tyres too) and Stu was on his old 80s falcon weapon.

    Pretty happy with that.

I got a few mins on Scoobs and Stu but got Cramp at Horsey Mare and they caught up at the rest stop

  • Ah I only did the 50 as I was riding into and out of the city on what is supposed to be a taper week! Went round with a few friends in just over 2:30 so not too shabby I guess, need to stop drinking a big brew before I ride though, or get a colostomy bag!

I see the first ones back from the 100 did it in 4:04!

  • Woah, what? Stiffler did the 50 on a bloody BMX sidecar?

    The man's a fool. A wonderful fool.

  • That sidehack idea kept me going yesterday. Always nice to know that theres someone suffering more than you.

Would do the 100 again definately. More prep next time. Should have gone out with Colr last week.

  • Last night - a cashier in my local shop, to her colleague: "My son cycled 100 miles today, mhm."

  • I did the 50 in 2hr 55 - was quite happy with myself until I just saw your guys times :(

  • I was testing riding the Seething 600 audax, which interacted with the 100/50 routes a little I think, though I think we were there later on in the afternoon.

T'was a headwindy ride up to Wells in the morning, then across the wind to Wayford Bridge, before finally picking up a taily at Potter Heigham for the run back to Seething via the Ferry.

The 49/19 fixed gear was a bit of a grind into the wind, and a bit too spinny downwind. Nice weekend out though. Actual event is this weekend - and there will definitely be some fixers out.
