  • The course pasess through the only hills in Norfolk and they're all coastal and exposed. If there's a headwind, I'm going to imagine your painface to amuse me while I change down some gears.

  • Might stick a 14T on the other side so I can flip it back if I find I've bitten off more than I can chew.

    i think you mean 16t....

  • Smart arse!

  • What I mean is that I may put a 14T on but leave the 15T on the other side so I can flip back to that if ~85 inches is murder. 44x15 won't be too bad, it's what I did the Dynamo on.

  • I'm doing it fixed too.

You have to, because you haven't built your road bike yet.

Hing The F U by default.

  • Indeed.

  • No worries. Tell me where to get them and what size and I'll be on a mission. I've got 2/3 days to cycle about like a loon.

Would love to take the fixed, but as we're going on a little roam about for 4 days or so I've been told I'll need gears. Thar be hills...

thats where the shop is at... I'll take a medium, I'll sling you some cashish before you go..

On another note, Campsites are booked for teh royal wedding weekend, Dave is going to mail us regarding how much we owe...

  • anyone doing this fixed? Im well in but Doms bailed on me! Gay

  • I think Donny is.

  • As long as Donnys not stacked with frames to ne built i think we are squatting our places on the 100. Safe as fuck!

  • im planning on riding the 50 after doin the 100 with my mate si last week as he flys out to aus on wed and wanted to know which of you lot are riding and if so what bikes u on so can have a look out and say hello.

for anyone who aint tried it yet 100 on a fixed is such a good feeling once done but god it hurt on teh way round

  • Gav, I've still got your entry docs. How can I get them to you? Can ride them over if I know when you're going to be where.

  • I am doing the 100. Will be on a white Dolan

  • Want to do the 100, but is there a team I can sign up to?

  • will be fixed for want of another less challenging bike.

  • I did it fixed last year. The only advice I can give is get behind Col and try to keep up. He's only little, but he makes a decent windblock.

  • This also works on all riders.

Forecast is currently 20mph hour winds in the worst direction possible for the route.
Good luck with the coast road on fixed chaps!

  • The horror. The horror.

  • Hahah. Cant wait for that!

Sounds like there is to be a good turn out of fixed gear scallywags scum running it! If you didnt receive my text here it is:

"Sunday is the Norwich 100. A few of us are gonna scum run it (not pay). Meet up at 7:30am at The Boundary Public House, Aylesham Rd. 100 miler so come prepared. "

It will be a good day to die. Remember what lance said:

"pain is only temporary, but failure lasts forever"

By the sounds of things this comment is perfectly apt!

  • When it starts to hurt, remember what Voigt said: "Shut up legs!"

  • Can you pay on the day?

  • You could last year. I think.
Edit: Yes, it's £19 on the day.

  • Good luck everyone!

I've been eating pasta, cookies, bananas and drinking beetroot juice all day.

My card say 7:50 start time but i'm going to try to leave at 7:30.
I will hopefully see some of you somewhere.

  • Is it tomorrow or something?

    Good luck, y'all.
