There's this thing called stairs, I tend to find it handy to carry the bike up and down them
-
• #4255
Pussy. Ride them.

OMG u wud of walked str8 pass my house I reckon LEIGHAM COURT ROAD CLICK BRAP WHUT WHUT!!!
-
• #4257
saw no other cyclists this morning. not one.
-
• #4258
Sorry that was rather facetious. But yes, I have to negotiate several stairs and am disinclined to put the bike down once it is up on the shoulder. As I have said, I have done it a thousand times, and have encountered no problems, and no-one has ever said anything before, so I don't see an issue with it. Even the Polis said I just almost hit someone.

Me too, I was the only rider out there today. It's quiet out there. Too quiet. I've always wanted to say that.

v quiet, tailwind, ignored Damo. would ride again.
@doppelkorn - I do Leigham Court Rd everyday. Weds and Thurs mornings at a majestic 7km/h alongside a scooter-child. Y no spots?

7kph is too fast for me :(

• #4262
Looking forward to the commute home, 18 miles of tailwind bliss.

Nice ride in this morning. Only hampered by the distraction of seeing an ambulance at Ludgate Circus with a paramedic putting the front wheel of a bike in the back. Looked fairly casual so I can only hope it wasn't an emergency. Must have been around 8.45/9. Anyone else see anything?

I'm the opposite, got an uphill slog into the headwind to look forward to. Plus I forgot my underwear today so have been in bib tights all day. Clammy.

Decided to move the seatpost up a few inches on the mixte before cycling home from work, as I'm undoing it the bolt snaps and leaves half stuck in the frame. Ride home with the seatpost all the way down and twirling around was different but not so bad.

18mph average for 18 miles riding east.
9/10, one less because I managed to loosen the bolt on my Dynamo light which shake more than niki 's arse.

Drove to Brent Cross, did my Christmas shopping in just under 40 minutes and drove home. Some delays but I had the Beach Boys playing so I quite enjoyed the traffic.
7/10 would do again next year. -

So quiet again this morning. Almost ghost town levels in places. Rode in wearing a t-shirt. On the 23rd of December.

Need to make some adjustments to the Voodoo. Post is slipping so maybe some carbon paste required or a clean-up and a new clamp and the cassette needs a check as it moves sideways - missing a lockring or spacer perhaps?
-
• #4271
Mother nature has deemed me ineligible for a tailwind of any sort in any direction. Disappoint.
-
• #4272
tailwind is when the scoblestack geo works really well
-
• #4273
First commute in over two weeks, nice and empty, much better than public transport and the temperature is awesome !!!
-
• #4274
Warm but windy, so you sweat but get numb fingers and face. My massive nose always bears the brunt.
-
• #4275
Headwind, 1hr, 15 minutes just to do 18 miles, 5/10, late for work, do not want.
14C this mornign with a nice tailwind - so what's with people in full tights, over shoes, long sleves, winer gloves and fucking banaclavas? Bloody southerners.
