Is that only once you’ve looked and determined there is no one to indicate to?

Saw this bunch of twats heading west on the Marylebone Road on Monday evening. gave them plenty of room when filtering. Was pumping out more smoke than a Chinese power station

I think that's the one usually parked in Torrens Street. Belongs to a friend of the club owner down there I believe. There's often an old black ex-military Hummer down there too, with bullet holes in the back of it.

Impressive / interesting / slightly dispiriting that a tank can be made road legal in private hands

Baron's Court
Note that there is a persistent local controversy about whether the name has an apostrophe or not.

(I prefer the apostrophe, too, but it seems to be anyone's guess what the original intention behind the name was.)

God knows what the deal with ULEZ is. You can see the smoke pouring out of it in that photo

£12.50?

My inner teenage spod compels me to note that it's technically a self-propelled gun, not a tank, but driving 17 tons of armoured vehicle around central London is twatty nonetheless (even if they're using rubber tracks - I can't tell from that pic). I don't know what the ULEZ situation is, but apparently they're congestion charge exempt (is that the case for all historic vehicles?).

Haha agreed that one is dumb

Fml cycling in tulse hill is fucked

Historic are ULEZ exempt AFAIK but not congestion charge exempt.
Edit: oooh, this is getting complicated now. Historic are LEZ exempt, but not ULEZ exempt. Will be exempt from Sept 2020? And I’m pretty sure it’s not congestion charge exempt. Whatever the T charge is, it’s exempt? Probably best I don’t drive my Anglia in London any more then, I’m so fricking confused.

The lez is only for commercial vehicles, lorries and buses I think. I think you've also just answered my question as to why old route masters are OK.
The original lez does not apply to cars. I had to get rid of my old vw t4 van though :(
Also, to drive a non compliant vehicle in the original LEZ is around £100 a day I think. Its more like a ban/fine than a fee.

TBH I was just going off something I read suggesting that Ross Noble owned a similar FV433, and that he'd commented when interviewed about it on Top Gear that it was CC-exempt...

Here we are. TFL site states historic vehicles are ULEZ exempt, on the rolling 40 years old basis: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone/discounts-and-exemptions#on-this-page-4

Yep. My 42yo MGB is exempt from ULEZ. But I have to pay the CC.
It also pays no VED and doesn't need an MOT.

Company called tanks-a-lot I think. Looking at the price for this experience I’d rather not personally. They also offer a hearse which looks grim and a ‘safari gun bus’ that seats ‘up to 12 guns’ for your shooting party. They have plenty of tracked vehicles for sale if you’re interested or if that’s not for you possibly go for Margaret Thatcher’s armoured bus

Is driving over Range Rovers with it included in the price? Because then I see it as quite the bargain.
The irony with indicators is that if you do an ‘advanced driving’ course (IAM etc) they tell you to ignore them anyway. That’s served me quite well over the years.
