Last Summer we even had an early doors Wests that involved £25 worth of thinbase,
a drink at the Grand Junction with @jdmitch, then joined up with @skydancer & @moorhen at The Castle. -

The Castle
Ah yes, the local. I frequent it myself

I spend probably far too much time there at the Castle! Bit of goss, did you know they're knocking it down at some point to build more student flats? Fucking devastated.
Casa Bardotti (the Italian place that used to be nearby) delivers £5 pizzas on Mondays if you're ever fancy a decent lunch. Just need to download their app.
I work at Boden, the big white building just next to the train line. We're the only ones sticking HS2 out it seems...

@PhilDAS @seager
Back in the early '90s, when Expandite was still manufacturing building chemicals when the Aviva body shop is on Wales Farm Road, the Standard/Minerva Road industrial zone was a wasteland.
These days there are probably a dozen food places from the (well meaning but borderline shoddy) Kamil Bakery all the way up to accomplished 'middle east' restaurants,
including the Beit al Zaytoun overlooking the canal, opposite the Grand Junction Arms. -

I was born :)
...in Merseyside -

Hah, 90s all the way. Feel free to PM me.

I see your Merseyside and raise you...
... South Essex :S
Good job we all managed to make our way into the melting pot!

South Essex
All this time you've been masquerading as a Kentish Man/Man of Kent!
-

Just when nothing exciting happens for days (bar cygnets, fly clouds) bellendry galore. Close pass and white van man shoutby.
I hope they spend a lot of cash on their cars, then fail their mot test on chassis rust, spend more cash, pass and their car then gets catastrophic engine failure in pissing rain, in the dark in the middle of nowhere.

And they step on a Lego barefoot in the night

Or cold water in fresh new socks

Saw someone hop onto the pavement to bypass slow traffic & a red light. He dropped back onto the road, tried to go up the inside of a bus, clipped it and did some sort of running crash into a shop doorway. Quite made my morning.

You monster
-
• #26893
Was a long day, maybe thats too harsh
-
• #26894
I think we’ve all seen the real you now

Beautiful weather cycling in today, listening to some field day playlist and wishing I had more time to cycle before heading to work...
-
• #26896
Stacked it twice whilst cornering in the space of a week, first time on a wet drain cover and this morning after riding over a(n oily?) puddle.
Wide slicks are very confidence inspiring, until they aren't at all.
Time to consider cycle training, I guess. -
• #26897
Fine I meant it, and i hope the puddle was caused by their freezer defrosting and it was actually the puddle from their last fab lolly that they were going to the freezer for
-
• #26898
Ahhh, that lovely feeling when a stone pings out from under your wheel and loudly whacks the tw*t who just close passed you for no reason. Hope it left a nice big scratch on your knobwagon.

• #26899
Ive had that loads recently, unfortunately its always either hit someone whos given me loads of room or is stationary which makes me feel bad!

As a parent with a lego loving son, that'll be my fate anyway.
I heard stepping on an upturned UK plug is even worse.
Interesting. Its a 5 min walk for me so I might try it
