Dry here but with an arctic feeling wind. Fuck this cold weather, so over it.

Not looking forward to getting all that soaking gear back on. Hopefully a tailwind home.

Took bike to cadence. Mudguards incompatible they said. Ballz I thought.

Took bike to Edwards. Mudguards fitted. £15.

Cadence seem to deal with modern, OTP bike-lego. A friend took a wheel in to ask them to remove an old 7sp freewheel. Not replace it or do anything fancy, just remove it. By all accounts it was as if he had shit in their flat white.

A friend of mine had his bike serviced there, came back into work barely able to turn his handlebars because they’d over cranked the top cap bearing load bizz.. based on that alone I would never take my bike there!

The worst part of living in California is that we have to be thankful for rain rather than curse it. Then again it was 15º, clear blue sky, and sun on the way in.

The real shit thing is that there is nothing to curse about weather-wise. Real Berliners must feel so awful in this place.

I ment why hot? I am always sweating so need a cold shower to cool down. How do people sweat and are cold at the same time? The showers here turn into steam rooms and you start sweating again before you manage to put clothes back on.

Well, yeah, if the weather is hot, then the shower will be cold. It was like 4C this morning so my chilled skin appreciated a warm shower.

Yesterday: Raining so hard I had trouble seeing. Handbags with a van driver on Farringdon Rd (he indicated right, went left, took me into the kerb). Arriving at work soaking wet and cold. Cycling home in wet clothes and shoes &c &c.
This morning: I celebrated sunshine/blue skies by almost putting myself under a bus in exactly the same spot. Hat-tip to the mitteleuropean on a sit-up-and-beg who commented "not your finest move that...". Yes. No. Yes.

Brompton with Kojaks yesterday, MTB with 2.1 knobbies today. That felt hard the first 20 minutes...
Made up for it going down some stairs and other small things you could do on a Brompton, but they won't be as fun.

Pissing rain expected going home.

Took a chance and undertook a right-of-lane aligned chap on a brompton on my way in this morning. Of course he suddenly veered left just as I was passing him. Him: "whoah!" Me: "sorry!".

Also what is it with people who position themselves on the right hand side of a lane when they aren't about to turn anywhere? Noticed it a couple of times this morning. Watched a lady on a bank bike riding the entire length of shoreditch high street pretty much straddling the centre line.

Ahhh. Cycled in late this morning, around 11. Glorious sunshine, short sleeves and sunglasses, tail wind. Joy of joys. 11/10.

Tomorrows forecast? Pissing with rain again. Its all a bit on/off with the spring time feels.
