Quite a nice ride in the swirling snow - ski jacket, scarf, gloves and big fluffy hat with ear flaps did the trick quite nicely.

Drivers seem marginally more likely to do silly things in these conditions, but hey, what's a little careless driving between friends?

Saw a bloke in bib shorts. Bare legs in these conditions... must be a geordie.

I wore a near full face (only eyes showing) balaclava to ride to town and back last night. I refuse to be cold.

Thursday is looking like a complete git. 20mph bitter headwind and I'm planning on a ~36h fast from Tuesday 11pm until Thursday lunchtime. Oof.

Encountered a driver who, having stuck his nose out of a side road, realised his mistake and reversed back in (rather than just sitting there blocking the cycle lane, like 99% of drivers do). He got a nice thank you wave.

Bit of a face stinger this morning especially in the shade. Still, I think this is the first year I've really nailed my winter kit. Was toasty warm apart from the bits of the face that you cant cover up.
