  • Only those who seen Park & Reaction that is.

  • Literally all British people cannot understand the concept of cooling. It's our national shame.

Sittin' out in parks with hankies on your heads and your bare bellies soaking up all that infrared. For shame! For shame!

  • the problem is the aircon doesn't facking werk, innit.

Yeah but on buses it is working on? Why are the farkin windows open? It's hotter outside!

  • England doesn't get that hot so people don't invest in high quality AC. So, when it does get that hot it takes an excruciatingly long time for the AC to be effective, and eventually someone will lose patients and open a window.

And, it's not very British to go over and close it again, the common response is a tut or a sigh.

Lucky you guys also have that 'stiff upper lip' and can ignore all this... oh...

But British idiocy is redeemed by things like Red Dwarf.. :)

  • But let down again by pies

We have an ozone layer though...

Apparently one is a professional ballroom dancer with a Greggs obsession.

  • There's no such thing!

  • Not commuted by bike for 2 days... Can't wait till tmw's ride in and out.

  • There's no such thing!

There must be because I'm sure that in an episode of Red Dwarf they try and pull a giant toupe over the hole in it........?

  • Literally.

    All.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to TW2 again.

I don't understand. Things can only get hotter. That is my understanding.

  • Things can only get better.

  • Anyone heard that operatic scooter man yet? Followed him down Hackney road all the way to Silicon implant roundabout last week. Initially thought it was his radio he was that fucking good, really bellowing it out. Totally made my morning!

  • A pigeon flew through the chainring / rear wheel of a guy I was riding with this evening and exploded into a mist of red feathers. He didn't even realise what had happened until everyone around him congratulated him.

  • Chap overtook me on Tollington Rd, shortly thereafter his wallet popped out of his jersey pocket and exploded in a shower of cards and cash in the middle of the road. I stopped to help but he said he had it under control.

  • I stopped to help but he said he had it under control.

    Things that make me angry>>>>

  • Ha, he didn't say it in a bad way. He appeared grateful to me for stopping, but was assuring me that I didn't have to run into the middle of 3 lanes of traffic to retrieve his bits. I wished him luck and went about my day.

This incident sounds a lot worse than you initially made out.

  • On the way home, a guy flagged me down to borrow a spanner, by holding his hand up as if I was a taxi. I like this protocol better than constantly stopping to offer help to people who don't want any help.

    Ha! Shades of lynchman.

  • May he RIP

  • My commute was good today, it took me a while thinking to decide tho as I was essentially surrounded by HGVs on and off the whole way. I set off and after not long at all was between 2 greenish colour arriva training buses which I passed and was passed by for another 4 miles or so. As bus drivers go they had been really good, probably shit a brick when they realised a real life cyclist had just entered the training ride/route but the back one didn't make a huge effort to convoy with the other at any cost when they got seperated a little and they both gave plenty of space and indicated well. I'm sure once they get red buses that good driving will slowly be chipped away but it was nice today.
