Possible worn out rim (check indicator) OR a spoke decided to de-tension itself rather spectacularly and took the rim tension with it (which is gonna be a bit tricky to fix if there's no baik shop or spoke keys to borrow) that happened to @TRA here.
Either way, balls. Hope it stays dry for you.

Your experience reminds me to buy a spare spoke key for the travel toolpack ...

They were used wheels, and have been treated a little harsh, but it was a surprise. I give the bike a bounce before each right, but I will probably call it a day on them now (after a final trip home). I'm hoping the rim hasn't split, I'd be praying for spectacular de-tension.

Fresh ride in today. All good. But OMG the London city peds - like sheep - one goes, all go - headphones - coffee - into the road - perhaps using protection in numbers as a reason for walking reds. I managed to stop in time to prevent flattening a guy this morning - he walked into my rear wheel - I managed to unclip and stay upright - and he tripped onto the pavement - then called me a c*nt. I love you too fella.

Drove into work this morning as there's no room for my bike at the GF's apartment...instant regret.
(1) Nearly had the front end taken off by a speeding Uni student along Botanic Av. Still on R plates. Hope he fails his exams.
(2) Belfast Bikes (Our Boris Bikes) Girl on bike filtering through the traffic, passes along the front of a stationary bus and into my lane, luckily seen her in the glass door/windscreen of the bus. 10/10 would bang...10/10 wouldn't want to peel you off my bonnet. Hope she gets a flat.Tomorrow. Take bike. Be awesome. Shout at taxis.

And you are an immature, sexist wanker.

• #10836
I hope the objectification of women brings you the feeling of manliness you seek.

• #10837
Does your gf know you 'would bang' some random you saw in the street?

Ha Ha - CFIXED - you save a maiden from almost certain injury by anticipating and being observant and in noting her comeliness and sharing your fantasy (for that is what is, yes?) you bring the wrath of the LFGSSS PC community down upon you! You just can't win.....

Did this today on St James St after watching a bendy elbowed commuto-MTB wanker jumping every light from Parliament Square. Luckily he had decided to use a very spinny gear so I had no trouble catching up again with him after each one.

At least his car wasn't 'made in china'.

@MetalMelly, @CFIXED, the line has moved on this forum, which has a robust and active female contingent, who have a hard enough time enjoying cycling with constant harassment from members of the opposite sex, without having to face sexism in this thread or on the forum in general.
Over the years its been made clear that you don't need to comment on someone's attractiveness or lack thereof, or what sexual activity you would like to engage in with them, to describe them or what they were doing.
Because someone calls you on it, doesn't mean this forum is limiting your expression, more socialising you to what is acceptable here, if you don't like it there are other cycling forums out there for you to engage with.. -

My commute was shit.
I got the train. My train to Elephant was cancelled. I hopped on the first train to Herne Hill.
MISTAKE.

Live & learn :)
If you don't get told off once (and in this case, if it has been a bloke I as woman would think it's not on either) or been accused of trolling once (me, carbon bikes for touring, I thought no cos you can't see damage and was called a troll) you haven't really joined LFGSS ;)
Don't think I've seen you about Belfast yet, at least can't remember somebody on a 2015 Cinelli pottering about.

Fellow Bike Shop are heading out this Wednesday from their shop on the Ormeau Road. Normally gets a good crowd. I'll be there if your free. Casual city cycle, nothing massive.

• #10848
I may be free actually (for a change...) so perhaps see you then :)

Unlike the cheap steel dumped on the UK by China which has contributed to Tata's announcement today of the loss of over 1000 jobs in the steel industry in the UK.
Two week mon-fri temp job. Riding in nice and slow with a friend, suddenly there's a loud pang! and a bump. I look down and the front wheel is buckled without any clues why.
No tools and 6 miles home later, gonna be a fun wobble if I can make enough brake clearance.
