NO FUCKING PARENTS IN CARS.
That's what made my day.
-
• #10503
is it no dogging day today?

While "no fucking parents in cars" could be read as "no parents fucking in cars today", it demonstrates the workings of the mind of someone who is clearly not busy enough.

Corpus mentis to ordered that coffee machine and decides knee warmers before armwarmers.

Cruised in late, hardly any traffic, cyclists or irate motorcyclists thinking they're Barry fucking Sheen
Would commute again over the Christmas period - three more sleeps & commutes to go

London really is SO much nicer to get around when everyone else has departed, isn't it? Ride in today was far more chilled than usual.

Worked from home and watched the trees go sideways from the warm comfort of my office (the spare room is an office now).

On the way there yes. On the way home it was like a warm fart in the face from god. Disgraceful conditions.

Turned over 6000k commuting this year.
I'm sure it's a drop in the ocean for many, but I'm chuffed as I almost chucked it in completely after a crash in 2014.
Headwind on the way home kept me honest.

Currently up norf with the parents. Took a ride in to town to pick up some last minute pressies and booze. A festive reminder that, no matter how badly we think they cock up London's infrastructure, it could always be worse...

Lovely conditions today. Bright, dry and not too much wind, lot less traffic too.
Downside being the Yodel van twat who overtook me on a "traffic management" chicane when I foolishly slowed to let someone out. Yodel wankstain then pulled over to kerb immediately after, cutting me right up. Aargh!
Felt like peeling the Bicycle Friendly sticker off the back of his van and choking the cunt with it.

Walked in this morning as a treat to enjoy the quiet, and also because I wasn't on dog walking duties, so had the time.
A few more of last nights casualties and a couple of burning bins and its 28Days Later.
Always oddly brilliant, partly because you always seem to forget just how quiet it gets. I always notice something new on a walk too.
I look forward to a few more morning wanders in the coming days
9/10 - would apocalypse again

Stopped and waited in an empty bike box at oval and then again before Waterloo Cut without another cyclist in sight.
A nice break from the usual Chaos
Pissing down ice cold rain, I can deal with that, but a puncture is somewhat less fun... ;)
Edit: Also forgot all my kit, luckily one person at work has repair kit and the other a socket wrench as it's a bolted on rear. Yay for colleagues... :)
