Spoon was recommended to me by someone, it's fine, seems comfortable enough to me.

Bloody hell, what a response! Cheers guys.
Dan, yes I understand the backwards logic of the dimple thing, hence previously going for a bunch of wtbs with the cut out, but then find my sit bones are too broad and I end uo with numb plumbs in no time (gradually turning to pain, then self contraception). Sdg bell airs are even worse for me.
There was one specialised body geo saddle made around 2005/6 that was uber, was on a test bike which I rode for 7 hours (because there was still daylight and I was loving the whole thing too much).
I did get a measurement, forget what the spesh slang was for it, bit it was one of the wider categories.
also with the dimple saddle its a sweaty experience compared to others :/Benny hill, thanks much for the offer, but I'm away in the northern wastelands so probably wouldn't work out without postage involved :/
Cheers fir the 3ttt link, might be worth a try that. san marco rolls or b17 normal would probably be the deal, though I've never worked out how brooks works,do they flex or are they rigid, also sweatyness factor? I like the sound of a park bench seat though :p

^they're quite good actually - like a slightly sturdier (and cheaper) Toupe

They are both the same price in the store. I gather the toupe is the top of the line one, but i think i want the big gap in the middle...

I have one of those WTB's on the commuter. Seems OK. Made the mistake of wearing padded shorts with it a few times, horrible.
You should be able to measure your own sit bones, and apply that to the fizik, or spesh system. Should give you a decent start point.
I run one of these on the fixed, and despite appearances, my bum loves it. So I measured what looked to be the sit-bone contact points, and compared it to other saddles. The SLR looked to be pretty darn close, so I've gone with that. Reviews have compared it more to the shape of a Flite though, so maybe I'm wrong. The point is, getting the sit-bone fit right is far more important than, cut-outs, long noses, gel inserts etc.

romin has less padding, but it's more dense so you sink into it less. It also has the channel the whole length down, a slightly wider nose and I think it flexes a little more.

My arse heartily recommends the Flite

WTF is that, is it a saddle or does it belong in the bedroom?
Also +1 on the womens saddles, the female wtb V I tried by accident was actually pretty good, but pink stitching O_o

there was ONE uber light saddle that was on a 90's ribble i borrowed for a few days, I think it was a Flite, it was in blue, white & yellow stripes (looked like teletubby vomit) but was just right, mind you, I tend to carry a pack everywhere when riding so probably wouldn't be the same when I'm loaded up.

Saddle is one thing, good shorts are even better! I quite like SDG saddles... also found the Specialized one that came on my racer quite nice...
how you feel about "popping"? Do you "pop".. or "wander"? Any good?
