Hmm. I've had mine in and out and re-tightened a few times, still seems to be noisy. Will try a different post and see how it all looks/sounds

I've sort of kept abreast of the chinese carbon goings-on but have been a bit out of the loop lately. To save me skim-reading 148 pages, what would the lfgss hivemind suggest the best place to get the following:
60mm carbon clinchers, novatec or equivalent track hubs (fixed/fixed). Wide profile is the in thing these days, right? And basalt brake track would be nice.
I don't mind waiting a while for shipping and I'd ideally like to pay no more than £250 but could maybe stretch towards £300.
Possible or ridiculous?

Could anybody comment on the safety of these?

My friend, who is quite a heftier lad than I am, have been riding some similar or (if memory doesn't fail me) exactly these Chinese carbon handlebars for a few months with no issues. Several months is a bit short for decent crash feedback it seems, but on the other hand I'm positive he enjoys the same bumpy roads in our city, plus he's a more aggressive rider.
I am well under 75 kilos (forgive the metric) and open to any suggestions as for other orient vendors. I just need cheapo-weenie 31.8 bullhorns... -

Raced for the first time this evening on a set of Carbonzone 60mm track tubs as per..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171737793015
Ordered on the 26th May...received on the 2nd June. £30 import taxes, total of £250ish. Very happy for the price. Yes they're not the latest shape, but hey, I only really plan on going round in circles indoors on them.
Also, tubs felt reeeaaallly bumpy on the rollers, but not on the track...guess I shouldn't worry about it.

Are they pista cs or rally ? Might be due incorrect fitting
-
• #3690
They are Challenge Crono SC actually...had them glued in my LBS. Did ponder whether it was due to the weight of the overly long valve extensions too...

My rear tub has a slight bounce at a certain speed, its annoying but not by enough to make me rip it off and re-glue it, it's fairly worn now so I'll sort it when I change it.
This is on a HED Stinger 4 - it's how it was glued by the PO, not the rim (I believe).
-
• #3692
Bounce comes in around 40mph, which is why it doesn't bother me that much - I don't spend a huge amount of time at that speed in this country.
-
• #3693
Tubs sometimes are bumpy at the valve; old skool fix was to dremel the valve hole a bit deeper on alu rims so it sits a bit deeper
-
• #3694
That may well be the answer in this case...the finishing was a bit scruffy on both the spoke and valve holes.
-
• #3695
increased stretch at valve when fitting helps too

Has anyone bought any Chinese 'Rapha' from DH Gate? I seem to remember someone on here has @Smallfurry ??
Any good? How does the sizing compare to a real PT jersey?
-
• #3697
Clothing is generally shit and best avoided. Just generic jerseys printed to look like rapha etc.

Really? Ok. Cheers danb.

Is anyone here using chinese road disc carbon forks?
I'm looking for one, don't want to spend too much money for Enve 2.0 disc.
Lynskey #3 is also quite expensive and Whisky no. 9 has 15mm axle so no cheap chinese wheels :D
There are few options on ebay and aliexpress, but I'm bit worried about threads on brake mount etc... -
