If I wanted to buy stems and seatposts that were carbon...
Where?
Which reputable dealer? -

Search 'Hylix carbon' in ebay. Ta da..
I've used their really light seatposts and stems. All good so far.

The VCLS post turned up today. Definitely looks identical to the OG one.

It looks spot on! Am i right in thinking these posts need 6" + of free space above the frame to work properly?
-
• #3157
It's about 6" from the degree markings so that sounds about right.

Let us know how you get on with it; keen to put it on missus' bike.
In other news I took raceblade longs off my FM066 and mounted 25c tyres to make it race ready. Took pics of the tyre clearance with DA7900 brakes. Looks like it can take 32c tyres; I will be putting them on in summer for 60psi fast fun bike.

Yeah, did we see the Watchdog show about the "replica" FSA bars and stems?

I mentioned it on p124.

Anyone have anything bad to say about Yoeleo?
I've just come across this frame which seems to tick several boxes for me and apart from the obvious, usual woes that it may explode (which I doubt it would), is there any reason not to get one (maybe I've missed something)?
Here's the actual frame that I fancy - http://www.yoeleobike.com/road-disc-frame-carbon-bike.html

i think upon the imminent rejection of my mortgage application I am going to order a chinese frame. upon browsing here and some other forums FM-066/FM-066SL still seems to be very popular. however i am thinking of the FM-296 because i like the burlier HT (but again i only run low profile rims, which would look better on the daintier FM-066)
any opinions before i buy something? anyone wanna buy a cervelo RS?

Is that junction between HT and fork plesant?
edit: ...might be lack of headset install
-
• #3171
definitely lack of headset install, but i dont think ive seen one built up
-
• #3172
It is. It'll look fine with a headset in there centering the steerer.

• #3173
Do you now anything about tyre clearences on the frame/fork?
-
• #3174
Fm 066

Can fit 32's in the back apparently. HT to fork junction looks very good with a headset installed. Could possibly do with a 1mm short crown race to close the gap.
