I was going to ask you who you bought from next time I saw you. Shit product or just shit service? Both?

How much is that rim and what's the hole count? There's no info on the site for it and I cba filling out an inquiry form
I've destroyed my Halo wheel and want something comedy to replace it with. I'm really not bothered by weight, just cost

You could wait for them to list it on their aliexpress storefront

Aah, I'm new to all this.
My spec is pretty simple - carbon, clincher, deeeeep, cheap.

Service isn't bad, just the product wasn't up to scratch and sending it's back cost me an arm and leg, choose speedcarbon11 they're got a lot more carbon options

I've paid $190 for the rim but if you're not fussy about hub, spokes you can order a whole wheel cheaper than anywhere else

Are these any good? Is 28h and 32h overkill for 60mm rims for track use?
-
• #2510
arent you a bit fat for 20/24 ;)
-
• #2511
20/24 would be better.
I'd get matt finish.
They isnt much else there to comment on.

• #2513
Mat just looks loads better in the flesh.
Thats not opinion. Thats trufax.
The weight seems spot on. Not porky, not scary light. But what can you say from a pic and zero info.

Ask if the seller has UD carbon instead of the usual 3K stuff, usually they should have them in stock, just not advertise on the website, (plus they usually charge you the same price) if not look around other sellers.

Is it just the aesthetics of the UD you prefer over the 3K?

Bought road wheels from carbonwheels2011 last year, they're perfectly good and were accurately described with weight being within a gram or so. They just needed the tensions tweaking by someone who knows what they're doing. They don't advertise track wheels, so I've just mailed them to see if they can build Novatec track hubs onto their clinchers. Will report back......

Pretty much so...

I've been emailing back and forth with Kyle at Farsports and have ordered a set of their new 50mm*23mm 3k matte rims. Just going to get their rims sent and will have them built up with 20 & 24H Hope Pro 3's.

^ are those the new Zipp-esque shape aero ones?
-
• #2520
Yep, that's them.
-
• #2521
Nice. Let me know if you charged Taxes and duty! 3k matt and not gloss?? I'm going to get gloss I reckon! Match my hand finished carbon saddle, post and bars!
-
• #2522
Will do. I couldn't be that lucky could I?!?
-
• #2523
People on here have been. Someone up thread has had 2 pairs of wheels and paid no tax or duty. Good luck.
-
• #2524
Yep, I paid no tax on my first 3 pairs of rims. Paid duty on the last two though. HMRC seem to be getting wise to the 'ten dorrah trade sample' game.

Come to papa!
No they are not!!! They are the one I brought my 3k carbon from...
