• Why don't we have a list?

Sounds like a plan (although I can't add myself quite yet...)

  • I'd be surprised if they feature 32 spokes though.

They don't, no, but a deep section laced to a 32hole MTB disc hub (XTR / X9) could be an interesting proposition for cross.

  • Anyone have experience with these superlights? They seem... light.

  • bit too light

  • I've done two rides/100 miles on a pair of 50mm superlights:

    and

    [ame]http://connect.garmin.com/activity/118518300[/ame]

And the wheels were awesome, but I've only done 100 miles, so not exactly an exhaustive test.

That Farsports are honouring their warranty is quite reassuring though- I sent photographs of the braking track, they said "we'll replace them", which is what you want to hear.

    I weight 76kg for reference.

  • I'd be surprised if they feature 32 spokes though.

They'll do a 40 spoke drilling if you ask, they've confirmed that 32 is no problem.

  • Yeah it does sound like a good deal. I reckon i will probably take the plunge but will think about it over the weekend. Still need to get my money back from the twat who tried to con me with a broken wheel on ebay.

  • So... 32h 88mm's, how many dorrah?

  • I'm going to plump for the non-superlights. I like a bit of weight. I can relate to things with weight

  • Given those average speeds ^^, I think Dammit needs even lighter and even more aero wheels.

  • 100mm is the answer

  • Given those average speeds ^^, I think Dammit needs even lighter and even more aero wheels.

You are clearly correct- I shall opt for CX-Rays for the new ones.

I caught a couple of Grumps on one of the steeper climbs on the ROTFL, clearly my weight advantage coming into play there.

I might go back out and do both of those routes on my own, I reckon I could add ~5mph to the average speed on each of them without the stops we made, nice routes both of them.

  • I'm just yanking your chain.

  • I know, but you are also correct- my average speed there is rubbish.

I'd like to go back and do the ROTFL short course again with the target of a 20mph average, which I think would be achievable if I pushed a bit harder.

  • did you do the shorter course?

You probably just caught Dov :)

  • You probably just caught Dov :)

    Antibiotics should clear that up.

  • He didn't catch a couple of Grumps, he caught me waiting for my mate Paul who was mid-bonk.

Although some pictures of his bikes/parts/house may add weight to his story.

  • Can't get a lot of these linkies to work at work (meh)

How much does a pair of 88mm tub rims in 32h flavour come in at?

  • Hovis, PM me your email address and I'll send you the price sheet PDF's so you've got all the info.

  • Email received. Thanks Dammit. Everything looks good. There is a minimum order quantity apparently although the fee to wave it is small apparently.

  • Yeah, we had that with the rims, once we have a confirmed order list then I'll get an invoice/quote from Farsports and send it on to everyone before going any further.

  • He didn't catch a couple of Grumps, he caught me waiting for my mate Paul who was mid-bonk.

Although some pictures of his bikes/parts/house may add weight to his story.

  • Hey guys a question out of the blue, I was wondering if anyone has Had the pleasure of running those deep section carbon clinchers from china, is it worth my time or will I end up in the ironic carbon thread with a nice pizza faced JPEG to embed?

  • I guess you're new here...

... if you some how managed to miss out on Smallfurry's wheels.

I'm sure quick search in this thread will bring it up. If not there must be a way of searchin his posts for "Chinese".

The long and the short of it is he seems happy and is still alive.

Edit here's a link to the final spec : http://www.lfgss.com/post1747941-112.html
