Road bike is go, and I'm up for some TNRCing at last.
-
• #705
doesn't anyone TNRC fixed? (except Matt I'm sure)
-
• #706
I will be when I can go. Which means I'm out on the hilly routes.

will post new rides (yes plural) tomorrow. i get up early and go to work and return approx 6pm or 7pm so say sometime around 7 or 8pm. don't fret about missing out. There will be two rides right from the get go. Hopefully one south and one north/east. Just try to keep the lists in order and please try not to add your name and then drop out. Of course it is difficult to foretell the workload and that is appreciated so no biggy but obviously it all helps. If you feel confident enough to lead a ride then pm me. you will not be alone leading and it helps if there are different people out there off the front.
total off the topic bit - good stuff out there tonight Damo, some nice touches and a few late tackles to boot ;)

damo, good to have you out there for the 5-a-side, great movement and lots of excellent first time passes. started too strong to go for most improved player this season. simple as.
@ ian (conker), yep there are many that ride fixed. many.

Cannot make the next ride, but already excited about the one afterwards, sad old thing that I am.
I have now built up my road fixed bike, so if I can build up my legs and stamina (and confidence) then I may try a TNRC fixed (only a flattish one, mind).
Have a good one and see y'all soon.

OT: @Jonny and 'Smoker: I should have packed my shin pads, my right shin is black and blue. Bit disappointed I was responsible for at least 4 of those goals last night. Like I said, if you need an extra player again, I'm pretty much free every monday. (supposedly a rest day)
OT: Excited about the opportunities for two different rides. Willing to backstop again.

looking forward to it, will be making sure work doesn't get in the way of a good roll along the country lanes with you lot...

2 rides? North and south? Flat and hilly? Long and winding? The possibilities are (nearly) limitless.
I would like to get involved in the "marshalling" but will wait to see if they are routes I know before making a firm offer on this one.
@ian, there were a good number of fixed out last time, especially for one of the hillier routes, there was even a lo-pro.

• #713
Arg, I'll be in class when you post them.
Can someone sign me up for whichever one looks flatest?
Cheers!
-
• #714
Of course.

• #715
cisco may be on the computer at that time, can someone sign me to the hilly one?
-
• #716
...no route signup yet. Setting reminder for lunch.

All this bed wetting, it's getting like the Tweed run in here!
-
• #718
@ benjam : I think that is in the evening

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to furious tiles again

Is that valid usage of the phrase bed wetting? Have to ask Pisti, he owns the copyright and you know how is is about rulez.
But as far as the itchy triger fingers go, it's 2 rides of 2 trains, if we fill that lot it's time to consider charging people to attend, we'll all be millionaires.

• #721
I am hoping to ride one of these, although I'm creeping at the moment.
Bed wetting holds no fears for me.

• #722
For me the TNRC was some of the best riding of 2010
-
• #723
You only rode one didn't you?
-
• #724
When all you do is skid from one E postcode to another any ride is the "best"

You only rode one didn't you?
Nah, did about 4-5
