Left hand. Saddle of thumb and forearm.
Possibly due to pressure from being on the hood all night.
Edit: Calleva:
Did it start rubbing against the wheel after you hit the pothole?
If so, this may have answered why my brake did something similar a couple of weeks ago. Any ideas what happened to your brake? -

Ben sometimes the eagerness to get back on the road makes the best of us stupid.
this is indeed true and therefore propose that people note:
- it's not a race or pacey club ride
- backstops are there to ensure sure you don't get lost
- those ahead will sit up and give you chance to catch up
That said I've been lucky so far but fully expect to one day set off and have my wheel fall off immediately...
- it's not a race or pacey club ride

would like to get involed in the tnrc, but im not the fittest rider and only have my fixed, dont want to be the wonded soldier ..no no, go on with out me styles, is it best i get my riding endurance up a little first. (could do a 15- 20 mile steady at the mo i think)

Where does this ubiquitous perception come from?
RG if you get on the next one I'll ride my 30 year old Benotto which is heavy as hell.

I did it yesterday on an old peugeot with broken gears, definitely at the back of the group, but people wait for others to catch up so don't worry about being dropped. go for it!

i need and want to up my riding and just think i would stuggle on some, so just enquirig for thoughts, not a ubiquitous perception just dont want to miss the train back and hold the ride up to much -

Will & Dave, thanks for the fast return to the station. Will, I'll let you claim that sprint....
ditto. i'll take it if it is being offered, dark out there and noone will know better. though note: you were close to having to clean up my sick as well, legs well shot by the end.!

a lovely start to the season. mixed ability riders mixing it up nicely out there - all went smooth on an amazing night - first TNRC of the season and no gloves required.
highlight for me was definitely climbing leith hill in to the fog, regrouping and then descending through and out of the white stuff again.
big shout to fasteddie who managed to switch his mind off all the pubs en route for a while and hang back with my whilst i sorted out my pinch flat after whitedown. set a wonderful pace back to get me there for the last train - with 14 mins to spare in the end - probably did have time for a swift one.
good to see some new faces out there too, as well as the seasoned TNRCers.
want to see more people riding fixed.
more people riding fixed, that's what i want.oh, @ jaygee, thanks for reminding me of that moyhetfucking text - was jumping on the orient whilst finishing it.
and why do shoots and me always miss out on the champers?

Do it anyway, I want to see it ;)
rg37, you've got time between now and the next one to get some more miles in and improve your fitness. I'd do that if you can, but as long as you avoid a route quite as hilly as last night, you'll be fine. My 2p.

[strike]n00b question - well more clarification - TNRC is every two weeks right?[/strike]

Jonny, humble apologies for not getting any Champers/beer, don't worry there will be other opportunities through out the season.
Gotta say the whole thing was a highlight, the climbs were good, the descents better, rolling along the flats in the strung out line of lights cutting through the mist, even the waiting with Corni to fix his puncture gave me the chance to indulge in being a happy hammer with Des.

I heard the words "hitzelsperger" drifting across the lanes.
I'd be happy to help backstop/TNRC terrier again.

Day-moe, you're mistaken what you heard was Der Hammer that Sam was laying down on Leith Hill

If so, this may have answered why my brake did something similar a couple of weeks ago. Any ideas what happened to your brake?Yes, the brake locked on after the pothole. Couldn't really work out what was going on so I just loosened the cable and rode on my rear brake. I'll let you know what is was once I've fixed it.
Good to hear there was a large West Ham contigent out. If only der Hammer had been in from the start of the season..

Tika is my inspiration. Back on the old steel, converse and straps, but at the front of pack and conquering all the hills!

Nice work ride elders, a great night and ride.
I am seriously considering turning down a good job offer cos it would limit my TNRC participation.

Jonny's give me a couple of more months and the new to beast and you may actually see me out there fixed, probably not on as massive a gear as clint but you never know.
Good fun, calves are tight and making me walk like an old man after the ride and half an hour of run walking this morning.
That was fun, lovely mist.
Thanks to the guys who stopped to help with my front brake. I am not sure what is quite wrong with it yet but am glad the wheel stayed true, it was a monstrous pothole...
Welcome tired Wednesday mornings.
