Ah no I didn't come off, they just seem to have resulted in me being in substantial pain. I'm assuming it's them as they're the only things I've changed on the bike recently.
I am in too much pain to ride to the pub. Things are bleak.

Fuck nuts. At least you gave it a go.

12 set off. Good pace. Quick pint. 10:30 train home.

Now on that train. Moderate pace for the first third of the ride but then we really pushed it.

I did Brixton-->Tower Bridge-->Putney Bridge-->Richmond Park (3 laps)-->Crystal Palace
45.94 miles in 2:41 = average 17.12 (some of that is through traffic too)
Happy with that.

nice run.
the full moon was a nice touch as were the 2 deer lurking in the field.
thanks to all who lead, from the front and the back.lost bruce at elephant, sorry mate looked back and just saw the nodder who was following us.

I took a shortcut that kind of maps onto the P5 bus route. Tried to signal you but it's a busy area.

^^^ That was faster than our average Joe!
Thanks all, our noble leaders especially. Nice roads, nice to have a full moon, good wildlife spot, good company. Really enjoyed the pace towards the end.

I've been on a calorie deficit for weeks, now. That pace might have done for me if not for the kind donation of a banana at an impromptu stop ;)

loved the ride thanks!

Full moon was nice :-) especially when my hope vision one cut out halfway round Richmond Park.
Gutted I didn't get to ride with you guys though...

Enjoyed that lots - thanks all. Tradition preserved in not quite getting that route right. Just one to go for 2011 - doesn't seem right with temperatures like last night.

where do you live? my phsycic powers must be playing up... -

On my way home. By train. I don't think tnrc and I are meant to be.
It's a pity you couldn't make it last night as I think you would have really enjoyed that route. Anyway, I hope your knee gets better soon.
Otherwise, that was a great spin under the full moon. Miles of quiet country lanes and a pretty tight group. Thanks to Friday and whoever else was leading. I also experienced some fairly surreal pink light at sunset while going through hainault which was awesome. Legs are a bit tired now though...

Another nice spin, that.
Ta for letting me have a go at steering for some of the route.
Soz' if ever the pace felt conservative (and for a few sketchy turns), mebe a bit of overcompensation there. 15.64mph (some suggest as high as 15.67mph) is about right for a TNRC, iirc; though perhaps we could have hit some of the floatier sections a bit harder. Dunno dunno.
Cheers all,
Blah de blah.

Great ride, deers, full moon, beers and all. Route ideally shortened for autumn.

That's a relief, for a moment I thought we just got lost again.

We were never lost, we knew we were going the wrong way.
