  • 13mph average!!!

Have a nice chat with everyone or don't come again!!!

There's waiting for those dropped off the bunch!!!
    fixed

  • I don't really have a computer to give an actual average but at guess 17mph.

Regrouping is regular at junctions and at the top of climbs.

Someone is always backstop to ensure no one gets dropped.

  • Or go on a ride to Essex with your new riding buddies.

  • Not FT's colour.

  • I think even at its most 'flowingest', with a small group following my tempo, we only averaged about 16mph on that ride (which means cruising along on the absolute level sections would've been more like 18mph).

I averaged 21mph solo this week, but that was geared, taking quite a few calculated risks in the dark (whilst knowing the route intimately), and working pretty hard. Not TT hard, but definitely not fucking about either.

Some of the routes lend themselves to the pace winding up over the last 10 miles or so, but 2 or 3 groups form naturally, doing approx 20mph/22mph/24mph on the flat (with a tailwind!).

  • We were doing almost exactly 15mph average on Tuesday.

  • ^in your speedos, like a fucking triathlete.

(that's what he said, before editing; it is)

  • Yeah, you missed out on my new look.

  • Another timeā€¦

  • next one is the ride of the falling leaves route too, if i am not mistaken. my first tnrc last year.

  • joe is right.

  • ride of the falling leaves at night. fuck yeah

  • I'm probably in, am more than happy to lead it.

  • It's a great route, even better at night.

I will do what I did before if you don't mind and leave you buggers at the top of Sundridge Hill. I gave young Tim some excellent detailed route descriptions to get home, these were apparently ignored after about half a mile. Therefore, Garmins are welcome. But only for that final section.

  • Ah! Ignore the Garmin bit. Garmins are banned.

  • This on the 12th?

  • i am defo in on the rotfl again... another one that starts and finishes on my doorstep :-)

i think i am going to do the geared thing this time. i have done it fixed... looking forward to swooping down those decents on my colnago. YEAH!
