After much thought I've settled on "Tun-ruk" as the correct pronunciation of TNRC
-

And i read that as Tuck-n-Run...

• #309
Can we just call it 'Tim and Jonny's peado ring'?
-

Just because it's pronounced /teen-arsey/ doesn't make it a paedo thing. It's descriptive of the angst-ridden and obdurate attitude of most participants.

Not sure quite where the kiddy-fiddlin reference fits in but does put me in mind of my first TNRC. Wandering round Kings Cross in the dark, surreptitiously approaching lycra clad strangers and asking "Are you the Tuesday night ride club?". Imagine my surprise to then find myself heading out on a thirty mile bike ride.

I think BMMF had my paedo reference in mind before I 'put it out there'

Or still pigeonholing the working class with a broad brush*.
*idioms don't sit well - do pigeon fanciers have some sort of brush they use to shuffle their birds around?

(I got the message, thanks)
Intergalactic exchange of fire sounds like something Brian Cox might say something like this sounds like.
