Skully's - as jimbilly pointed out to me - Tubus with the bungied saddllebag looked so much ftw that I find myself reading this (good command of the English language the Germans have as well):
Question: Why are the roundstays delivered together with the titanium-carriers are not made of titanium as well?
Answer: The connection-rod of the AIRY/CARRY consists out of aluminium, and not out of titanium. The reason is, that this stay has to be bend in the most cases, to connect the rack with the bicycle-frame properly.
A stay made out of titanium material would not be bendable. The clamp-parts, which connect the stay with the rack, are made out of stainless steel, and not out of titanium. If this parts would be made out of titanium, the connection stay out of aluminium would corrode and crack on the long run. (electrochemical corrosion / contact corrosion). -

I actually had managed to fit things into pockets and around top tube, but I felt the lack of a pump would be like a bad omen. (something Xander could learn from).
Like now, I've actually taken my tools, spare inner and pump out of my bag for the first time in four years for my daily commute cos I just stopped getting punctures. But now it'll happen all the time, won't it...?

Yes.

Let me introduce you to my friend, she's called "Regression to the mean".
If you haven't had any punctures for a while, don't worry - your time will come.

And she's mates with the "Law of Large Numbers" right?
Btw, did anybody take any pictures on this ride?

I believe this was also fixable before the digital age. It just required a bit of lateral thinking.
-
• #819
Or rotational thinking.

i would definitely encourage people to have a go if they like riding a bit quicker and can get up a few hills... but just be warned it is not a social paced ride. neither is it a race though :-)

And if you do the hilly version, I don't think Brakless is advisable. (I don't think Brakless is advisable on either one tbh)

FYI, I'm doing this ride again in the morning. From memory.
It may end up being a century :)
