American Werewolf in London has Brian Glover (and Rik Mayall), it therefore wins.

AWIL is great aye, every time I go to Dartmoor or wild places 'Dont go......'
just thinking about the way the twins are cut in to shot, the carpet, the boy racing along the corridors in Shining gets my ring going. -

Rik Mayall is in AWIL? Can't remember that. Wicked film though.
Watched this when I was far too young, about 13;
Dribbling, catatonic wreck for weeks after. Could not handle it. Bought it a while back - it's a comedy now.

Hobo, have you seen Rec2? it's pretty good, not as good as Rec but certainly worth watching
Society that's the one with all the toffs getting all melted into each other?
I thought both rec's were good but let down by their endings.
not wanting to give spoilers it just seemed like they went from being perfectly weighted in terms of horror, dread, general build-up and all the other things that make films like that good and then just they just get a bit ridiculous when the latex comes out for the finale.

great thread, i was thinking of starting one.
saw loads recently.
going to start by saying watch
Eden Lake
the Collector
I found Eden Lake depressing. Close enough to Daily Mail broken Britain to be social satire more than out and out horror. That lad out of Skins is top drawer though. I'm keeping an eye on him, he's the next Paddy Considine.

If anyone gets a chance and is a real fan of the genre / loves to see it worked in new and intelligent ways, check out Red White and Blue by Simon Rumley (caveat; friend of mine). Saw it at frightfest last year and it's pure horror laced with amazing - genre defying ideas, brilliant acting and a lazy, steady tempo. Genuinely left me breathless. I feel it could be a real cult hit. Especially now he's getting bigger and sexier budgets to tinker with. People who discover him will look back at RWandB for sure. Have a gander if you get a chance!!!

Yeah, I should say I liked Eden Lake. Didn't enjoy my next camping trip as much as I would have though!
+1 for Frenzy. I love it!
