I'm looking, idly, for an XL/XXL 29er frame for cheap. I want someone to replicate the magic of the carbon 9er that sold on here a couple of years ago for 50 quid

I have a 6'8 friend looking for a gravel bike. He's a big guy so will need to be a super solid (preferably steel) frame and wheelset. Any ideas at what kind of bikes he should be looking at, or if anyone has anything going...?

Anyone got much experience taking their big steeds on flights abroad?
I'm hoping to get over to France next year for some hills and im wondering if common bike boxes will fit the likes of a 64cm bike in them or if im going to have to start getting inventive?

I've travelled a few times with bikes, you'll have to take both wheels off and seat post out. I'd also ask the bike shop for a big cardboard box as it makes it easier, of course! But you shouldn't have trouble.

I used pipe insulation (held in place with electrical tape) to cover as much of the frame and exposed bits as possible plus a few bits of sheet polystyrene. Made a right old mess when I was packing but arrived in the US in one piece.

Ah I took that as cardboard box. My bike also fits in a bike box alan without problem. I think you can be relatively comfortable that it will turn up un-damaged but they are expensive

I used to fly 4-5 times a year and used a cardboard box with plenty of padding and additional cardboard sheets. Plenty of online guides on how to pack. Wheels off, mech/hanger off, suspension compressed to protect stanchions. Disks off.

Corrado steel track frame for sale

Top Tube = 58cm centre to centre
Seat Tube = 57cm centre to centre
Seat Tube = 59cm centre to top.

Lugless steel track frame, paint a bit chipped in places, no dents.
Not sure of the tubing but the others are 853, so this one may be the same.
Take standard 27.2mm seatpin and 1" threaded headset.
Forks drilled for a brake.
Circa 1986

Suit some one looking for a large track frame to use on the velodrome or street

Components are available from my large parts bin if require to make a bike up from this.

£ 225 plus post in the UK at cost ( around £18 .. its a big box )
