A couple of mysterious potential bargains in Nottingham:
This path fixie looks 1950s-60s to me:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174830906036Don't think this light-tourer is an Aende but could be a decent buy providing the price stays low:

Yellow not Saracen looks appealing, wonder how much force you could put on that back brake without pulling it out of the frame?

I've seen 70s TT bikes with front breaks on the wrong side of fork crown for apparent aerodynamic reasons but not sure what the thinking is behind that.

Got some Hunt Race Aero Superdura wheels for sale. Great wheels for us big/powerful lads, and only 1595g.

Any info on the Noah they came off of?

Yep, it's sitting decommissioned in my flat . Stripped and ready.
It's an XL bought in 2012, but not built up until 2014. Only ridden in Summer and done a max of 5000kms. A friend is a pro-coach connected to Lotto (Belisol as it then was) and got it for me.
I never managed to justify owning it!!! 😭
I can post photos later. This is what it looked like some moths ago with deepish wheels on. I'm 6'4" and the seatpost is cut for me. The saddle can still go up a few cm of you're taller.

Hi all,
Looking for a frame myself. I'm 6"3 so need a big rig. What's out there? (other than that exceptional Ridley which I know I can't afford!)
Cheers

Hi gents and ladies,
I'm regretfully putting my Ridley Noah ISP frameset up for sale. Since I bought it, it's done no more than 2000km, so keeping it is an extravagance I can't justify, along with 4 other bikes.
Photos are here, including a geometry chart: https://www.flickr.com/photos/89296094@N05/albums/72157719655755067
I'm 6'4" and the seat mast is cut for someone 6'6" and there are spacers to take that up to 6'8". Conversely , it can be cut down if needed.
I bought it in 2012-2013 from a friend who coached a rider for what was then Lotto Belisol. It sat around unbuilt for almost 3 years before I mustered the courage to build. It's done Summer miles only and has never been crashed. There are 3 chips from pebbles thrown up by the road and some cable rub on the head tube.
Needless to say, you will not have ridden anything this fast. Of I was still half way fit, there's no way I'd be selling!
I'm looking for £750 posted and £700 if you can collect from East London (Upton Park). I'd also be open to a part exchange (as I had to give my Bridgestone RB-1 to my son!) for something more suitable to my (middle)-age body!!!
Message me if you have any questions. Payment will be by PayPal and I'd ask you to pick up the PayPal fee as well.
Thanks for looking.

I really do like that but suspect I'll be too big at nearly 6' 8", trying to find geometry online to compare to my Canyon, also need to find a couple of grand to spec it out accordingly.

Hi Scotts,
There's a geometry chart in the folder, so I've uploaded it for you. It's the XL geometry. I recall Marcel Sieberg (6'6") rode an L.
Current Minimum saddle rail height (this can be cut down further) is 81cm, giving a saddle height of 86cm (measured on the depth of a Flite saddle)
Maximum saddle rail height 83cm, giving a maximum saddle height of 88cm (measured on the depth of a Flite saddle).

Out if interest, how long is the seat tube CT? Asking as although this is too short for me, wondered what the saddle height would have been before the haircut. Thanks

I cut just under a cm from the mast. The factory centre BB to top of seat mast was B1 on the chart above (81cm). You'd have added a further 7-8cm to that for saddle clamp and saddle height.
At the moment it's 80cm, then add 7-8cm to that for saddle clamp and saddle height.
You can see from the lines at the top of the seatmast (spaced at 0.5cm) how much the clamp can add (with the use of the Ridley Spacers) if needed.
