Such porn .. can't afford that.
Why is there distinct lack of 1 1/8 straight full carbon canti CX forks? Maybe I am looking at wrong places .. none on aliexpress.
Would love to offload this EC70X for something much lighter. -

Maybe I am looking at wrong places .. none on aliexpress.
That'll be why.
Here you go, now go buy it.
350g uncut steerer, excellent fork.

• #3356
whoa! light but pricey .. I was looking for some aliexpress pricing .. £50-ish.
-
• #3357
Yeah, because cutting costs on forks is a wise long term strategy.
-
• #3358
£200 is hardly pricey for a sub 350g carbon fork.

1 1/8
2013 called and asked for their cx steerer size back ;)

They don't have the magic words "EASTON" or "ENVE" or "MASSIVE FUCKING BUYER" written all over them.

The Kinesis forks are nice and were hovering around the £115 mark for a while.
-
• #3365
Anybody here used the Kinesis DC37?
-
• #3366
yep those are great .. same weight as EC90 and cheap for what they are. But I want moon on a stick for £50 .. well aliexpress really. I'll jog on.

any benefit of flexible noodle vs regular for mini V set up?
-
• #3368
As long as you have a barrel adjuster, I've found normal noodle to be alright.
Could get this:

yeah it was between these 2:
Went with tektro
I am a V brake noob but can I use standard V and not mini V? What will change in terms of braking? Just want more clearance for fatter tyre and guard. Or am I better off with canti?
-
• #3370
I have no idea on merits of big vs little v.
-
• #3371
I'm no expert but I'd go with normal V for clearance, power and easy adjustment. Can't say how braking compares but minis will leave you less space.
-
• #3372
Standard Vs need more cable pull than you get from road levers. Go for mini-vs as they work with road levers. Or cantis, but they are less powerful and harder to set up properly.
-
• #3373
yeah, i'll see what I can get away with current Tektro Mini V in terms of tyre width; they are set up with Tektro RL levers so can be used with standard V if required.

Awesome - please take lots of pics of the clearances around the rear stays!
Oh rly, will look now.
Cycle solutions dont stock it, so I cant match it. Jesus this is annoying.
Edit 1: Ah i've just found out why they're a bunch of cunts! Its owned by Wheelies! Who in turn own Tredz, who are famously a load of lying bastards.
Edit 2: Just pointed out that they're selling the same bikes cheaper on wheelies, which is the same company. representative isnt keen to acknowledge this. 'we have to advertise them at RRP' even though they both have them on sale at different prices.
Edit 3: They'll only price match if the other company has the same size and colour model in stock. Pointed out that they claim to have the TCX SLR 2 in stock but wheelies dont't, so one of them is lying. Stock suddenly got updated mysteriously.
