  • Less than that. Ideally around half that.

  • Would be useful to provided an approx top tube length.

  • I don't know what it would be- guessing around 52cm.

  • Kinesis Decade Tripster have a normal seat angle (73) in their smallest size with a 53.6 top tube (47 c-t-c ST).

  • Planet X Uncle John, 74 degree ST, but with a 52.2cm top tube. £125 (disc tab on the rear), frame-only.

  • What forks to go with that though?

  • And £125 is only the XL, the S is £175

  • Just one thing ^
tapered steerer tube means the forks will be expensive

  • chainstay disc brakes.

  • Get a reducer headset if you don't want to pay for a tapered fork.

  • ^ good advice there.

  • £220 for the Kinesis fork doesn't look like a bad price to me for a full carbon fork- what alternatives are there with a non-tapered steerer?

You can't really argue with the price of that Pinnacle frame, if it came with a fork I'd probably buy it now.

  • Only argument is that the sizing may come out bigger due to the seat tube angle (top tube will realistically likely to feel more like 54cm).

  • Do Evans have some of these in Small built up Ed?

Easiest way to answer that would be for her to try one.

  • Good thinking, currently I'm not there but they may likely to have some Arkose in some of the London shop in the size you're looking for.

Can't find out without accessing their database of course.

  • Just checked the geo of her Filter (the small, which is too large) and that Pinnacle is going to be too large.

  • Is this a stonking bargain, or did I miss something and these forks are crap?

  • Nice price for the bars !

As for the forks i think big part of the price is that there are still few forks in general beeing sold with discs and most ppl looking for an upgrade dont have frames that will fit the tapered fork. Thinking there would be alot more interest if the steerer were straight 11/8.

  • No. Those 3T forks are a bargain.

Have you looked at the Fairdale bikes?

    Pompetamine?

  • Good price on those forks / bars - trying to persuade myself not to buy both for a tapered CX frame I don't have.

  • ...yet

  • Just checked the geo of her Filter (the small, which is too large) and that Pinnacle is going to be too large.

Charge have top tube of approx 54cm in the small, if it's too large, 52cm would be the correct assessment with a normal 73 degree seat angle.
