Looks nice. I always like the look of denim jakcets but never see anything that make think Yes! that would look good on me.

I like it because it's parred down, almost like a shirt. It doesn't have a thousand rivets and seams and isn't distressed or washed at all. The main clincher was the price; it was already good value at the £105 full price. It's going to take a lonnnggggg time to break in though.
I'm guessing it's roughly based on a Levi's Type 1:

Simple looking lines, indeed. Either way good choice.

I hope you're gonna wear it fastened?

Not until it's softened up a bit I won't!
Do I get extra denim nerd points if it's done up?

So Hiut Denim made it into the news... the jeans look good and are made in Wales. Still, I struggle with justifying £230 for a pair of jeans
Wouldn't mind shelling 230 for a pair if they're worth it. A few photos of how they actually fits would be handy, rather than some tosser with a camera.

Proper shit imagery.

Don't worry. They like bread.

so do I. should I buy them then?
-
• #541
Depends how epic you like your bread to be.
-
• #542
if you like bread that means you're like an artisan right? like you're 'keepin' it real' etc.? bread costs pennies maaaan......so how come the jeans are fucking £230?! pfft!

Can someone explain the need to do up top buttons (esp minus ties)? Is this the reason I can't get a yentz off arty birds- cos my plaid shirt aint done up to the top?
-
• #544
it's about looking stiff whilst grubby. It's a fine line.

NEVER do this. You're neither in a boy band nor a remake of "The Outsiders".

girlfriend?? pfffft.. my wife wears a uniform of neoprene wellies and barbour tied closed with baler twine, the unique 'aroma' of horse piss heralding her presence.
the last time i bought her a nice clothing item it ended up as a dog bandage..
thanks b&d, i did wonder why yoot sometimes wear them this way

So, if I hypothetically had a denim jacket that was made from stout-as-fuck raw selvedge, what could one do to soften it up and/or lighten it? You know, other than merely wearing it?
Would it be too difficult to judge this new company on their own merits?
