you'll really think they'll last 50 years or more? Genuine question.
Oh for sure, unless unharmed works in the mines. And still....
21oz denim is like as stiff as plywood, it'll take ages only for the denim to give in and Iron Heart will assist you in case of any mishap = jeans for life. -

Anything I can do about fading colour? My Edwins fit lovely but starting to fade. They need a wash so it's only going to get worse
-
• #504
blue dye?
but fades are a good thing, no?
-
• #505
lolwut?
Of course they will fade, it's denim. It should fade, let it fade.
-
• #506
why are you scared of the fade? all things must come to pass.....
-
• #507

Nudie Grim Tim Dry Black Selvage
Blown crotch, had it repaired but stitching has failed on part of the patch. Can't be bothered to get it sorted again and they never fitted me very well. Would be an easy repair, or make something else out of them.
34 x 34, washed 4 times, collect from SE1 daytime. Small forum donation would be cool - up to you.
Can post pics when they come out of the wash. You don't get contrast fades like indigo with these, sadly.

TBF now that I'm wearing Nudies I can actually rate them as a pretty nice fit (these seem to be a slim fit), which I would never before just by looking at them.
Shame the denim isn't heavier (wears out quick). -

To be honjest they first blew out after wearing them 7 days a week for 3 months doing physical work on my feet all day with 4 miles walking each day on top of that. I've not had a pair of jeans last any longer than that. They do stretch out of shape pretty quickly, but washing or soaking them is not an issue with black pressure-dyed denim, and they go stright back to theit original shape.
I've given up on jeans for work. Double polycotton FTW.

So Hiut Denim made it into the news... the jeans look good and are made in Wales. Still, I struggle with justifying £230 for a pair of jeans
-
• #519
Especially for a pair of Howies...
-
• #520
Hahaha a little unfair, these are the same guys but it's all new
-
• #521
I wouldn't pay 230 for Howies, get Sugar cane for that price.
-
• #522
I wouldn't wear Nudies, but there yer go... DIff'rent strokes...
-
• #523
I liked my nudies when I got them, but never wear them now. I've said it before but the arcuate is honking.
As for Hiut, apparently they like bread. Twee as fuck. http://hiutdenim.co.uk/blogs/love/4801742-bread-is-simple
Akin to the garbage spouted on that louder than silence wankfest that's been routinely lampooned in the hipster thread.

Wow, denim tribalism.
I was wearing Nudies before they were cool etc,

I'm sure you were trying to make a point there.... hmmm?
And yes Three Threads is gone. They're gonna become an Edwin only store.
