Edwin/Carhartt. Same thing now aren't they ? Pretty certain their Europe products are all now licensed to an outfit called Work In Progress and come out of the same factory in Tunisia. I worked this out coz I bought a pair of Carhartt chinos and Edwin jeans and noticed the wash label was identical. Oh and the shop owner told me.
I'm not suggesting the Edz have taken a cheeky backward slide in quality to meet their new housemates of course, but then what do I know ? I never knew women didn't have adam's apples till I was 26.

Edwin Nashville/Greenville/Waynesville are Japan made selvage and great jeans IMO
Nicer when they were only £59.99 though #oldgimmer For a while you could also get raw non-selvage Nashvilles for £30 which were the best value denim jean I think I've ever seen. All european made rainbow ED-47/Sen whatevers are shite.

Good, wearing them now! Nicely tapered.
They're very slightly on the loose side, but if I was to wash them they'll become too small I suspect. I think I'll put them in a bath of cold water for an hour and let them dry naturally to see if that shrinks them up at all. What do you think? I don't want to fuck 'em up!

Don't wash them yet you pilchard!
Wear them for atleast 9months minimum, get all the wear marks, creases etc on them plust they'll stretch and soften up too
THEN when they start to kiff a bit stick them in a bath of tepid water for 30mins or so, take out and hang on a line.... -

I wasn't gong to wash them, don't shit yourself.
My query was more about controlling the amount by which I shrink them by rinsing.
Thanks for the tip-off (no euph) by the way.

Got some APC despite some comments on here of the "APC is shit" variety. Liking them so far. Got the petit standard, nice slim/skinny fit, definite vanity sizing as I'm a 32 in 31s. Bit tight round the cyclist/skiing thighs though. Shall see how they pan out.
Had some nudies but the arcuates are disgusting and they were ruined after a cold wash 9/10 months in. The girlfriend has pretty much banned me from wearing them, which is fair enough.
Lee 101z have been a nice buy, really deep colour, wearing in well and no wash for who knows how long. They're a bit baggy though, though they claim they are slim.

My dry jeans have gone all baggy round the thighs and I need to shrink them back into shape. What to do? Cold soak? Warm soak? Wash?
I've worn them every day for 3 months doing manual work, they're looking well broken in - must have had more wear than a more sedentarily used pair will have had in 6 months so I'm tempted to wash them.

Turn the jeans inside out, 'scrunch' the jeans for a few mins in the water then leave for 30mins(water will go shitty green/blue/grey colour)
Empty water then re-fill with warm water again, another light scrunch then leave for a further 10/15minsTake out, ring and hang to dry naturally

As far as I know, N and F are made here in Canada, from Japanese denim. That's what it says on my tag anyway. Maybe you had a knock-off. -

sorry for being a forrun, what's scrunching?
Damn, the slims fitted me perfectly I got 3 pairs a few years back and I am down to my last unwashed and raw pair.
Guess I will have to go back to trying on endless brands to find a good cut
Any other well cut cheapies about?
