We stopped at Chiyamachi on the way from Okayama to Uno Port - there's a 10 minute train from there. I just couldn't find a way to make it work.
We're going to be coming back to Naoshima, as we enjoyed it so much, so will make time for it then. -

Haha. We have exactly the same thoughts. Do you have kids? Being at Naoshima with a 5 year old brought up so much more to the experience.

No kids! It's an amazing place. Benesse house hotel is great as well but we felt quite a bit younger than everyone else there. Wasn't anyone in their 20's or 30's

Anyone go to the Sunspel SS the other week?
Thanks for that Pisti, just in time for xmas gifts
-
• #2582
Yup. There was nothing jeans-wise in my size (32x34) but there were some nice tops and stuff.

• #2583
Yeah, sorry not massively selvedge related! I thought it was a pretty good sale, stocked up on basics and got a nice new work jacket.

Going to buy another pair of jeans whilst I'm here, probably another pair from Hinoya because the guys at the shop were so great
-
• #2585
That's the same place they have the natura selection sample sale, which I just missed after thinking there must be another one coming up soon, do a quick search and lo and behold had missed it by a week..
Will check that one out.
Thanks -

It was all the same types of jeans, just trying to still move them on

There's a pair I brought about a year ago which I really like and looking to get a couple more so I don't wear it out..

do the nashvilles 'relax' into a more normal shape? when I tried them in the shop they just didn't sit well, so wide they made me feel like a 13Y/o goth again.
-

Nashvilles were one of the few cuts where the waist / thigh ratio worked for me. They are pretty straight cut so a bit wider at the ankle than I'd chose.
Another option is Edwin ED-39 which is a loose cut but with a bit of a taper.
Once my Nashvilles are worn out, I have a pair of ED-39 waiting in the wings. I've only worn them a couple of times as it turns out that I only really need one pair of jeans.

I have the 55's which I like, although the waist has stretched more than I would have liked. should have downsized instead of taking a fit if you know what I mean. might take a punt on the 45's. chunky thigh/slim waist ratio is a pain for me too.
I'm getting to the point I might have to wash my 55's soon, how was the shrinkage in the leg length?
-
• #2593
Shrinkage was pretty minimal on a cold wash. After I'd worn them a few times, they were pretty much back to where they were.

Anyone know if APC do butler in UK?
I've got a pair of 29 New Standard that I wore for years and are awesome. But I've now got bigger legs and don't fit.I know in some places they do discount if you trade in.
-
• #2595
You could look to size up on the waist and get them taken in.
-
• #2596
Yeah I've got a pair of 31s that fit good, wider in the leg. But wondered if I could trade my 29s in for another pair of 31s, and get a discount with butler.
Maybe I'll just sell them.

Albam jeans are £69 at End in the sale, which is a really good price as they almost never go to sale in normal sizes

Got some 501xx in sale to replace my apc ns. Look forward to fading them in.
Same here. I did notice the Momotaro line in Okayama trains though. It was the peach pink line.
