Got these 511 Commuter Levi's (I know, not selvage....well, not exactly).
They're a 34x34 (now a 30" leg), only worn once.... enough to realise I don't like them.
Anyone? - £40.http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Levis-Commuter-511-Jeans-3M-Scotchlite-Water-Repellent-Fabric-34x30-MINT-/00/s/NjAwWDgwMA==/z/hcQAAMXQHPhSKNCk/$(KGrHqN,!rUFIeTqq5SCBSKNCj1)Lw~~60_12.JPG

For all lovers of that slubby look:
Howies Hobo Hemp Selvedge. They're slimmer the image suggested (as well as the Kaizens they did 6 months ago).

^^^^^ Nudie have a repair shop in Soho. Don't know what their pricing is though.

Loving the ongoing commitment to the crotch "blown out" for "rotted though from constant exposure to my rancid ball sweat" euph in this thread.
I've really fsked the look two of the three pairs of 101B's i bought a couple of months ago by going for a smaller than optimal initial turn-up. Didn't account for waist stretch, causing them to ride lower and subsequent requirement for a moar rockabilly sized turn-up. Problem is that when you do that the evidence of your earlier more conservative turn-up error is etched there in the denim for all to see and judge.
It's pretty tragic.

Goddamnit! Sold out of 34/34 already!
I have a pair of their selvedge I got in the sale when they still had the store on Carnaby St and I love them.

I got my pair of Gustin #27 Heavy Americans this morning (backed end of June with an August due date).
Probably should have bought something lighter for my intro to Selvedge. They feel a bit like cardboard. I've always wanted a nice thick pair of jeans, so I am happy. The fit is good. 36" legs need a double cuff though.

Give it a few days, they'll soften up soon enough

Just got 2 pairs from Gustin and they are massively long. Is it just me, or are the front pockets minuscule?
-
• #1218
The pockets seem about the same size as my 501s. It is a bit of a struggle to get my hands in them at the moment, but that will change. I have noticed the second row of stitching securing the pocket inner is longer on one side than the other. All the other finishing seems good.
They assume that if you aren't a 28, you are tall. I'm not too fussed as I like a nice big turn up.

I'm not worried about getting my hands in the pockets, I'm worried about being able to carry a small set of keys, some change and a wallet in the 2 front pockets. Not sure that's going to be possible.

Gustins - I signed up a couple of months back and am finally getting round to ordering. Couple of questions:
- Are there any additional import duty charges for shipping to the UK?
- Damn vanity sizing... I typically buy 32's, but when I measured using the Gustin fit guide, I seem to be a 35(!). So is their fit guide any good? Any advice on sizes?

- It depends. I ordered 2 pairs - one got caught and the other did not. The customs were not that bad but the £8 "handling fee" does tot-up.
- Their fit guide is very good. I measured a pair of my favourite jeans to determine the right size for my Gustins - go with the numbers from your tape measure.

These Gustins.
Has anyone ordered kiddy sizing (30-32 W, 32 L).Are the slim fits spray on?

Damn vanity sizing...
I've been a 34 in pretty much everything since my teens. When I got measured for my wedding suit I saw my *actual *measurements... 37"
THIRTY SEVEN INCHES!
