There's breakfast on offer at the end at my parents' house but it'll have to be for limited numbers as my mum will kill me if I turn up with 50 people. I will make a list or something but anyone who's definitely in for that let me know. I'm going down in a couple of weeks to stock their kitchen up on coffee etc in advance.

Here's most of the route... It avoids the hills in Bath and instead takes in the sweet canal path and the cycle path that links to Bristol. Departing in the morning and would mean 3 hours or so to catch some Zzzzz, else smash it all in 1 like a boss.

ahhh exmouth.
I'm tempted just cos I love the place and can go stay at nr Honiton, but logistics would be a little challenging. -

I've just bought my train ticket... getting the 4pm from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads. Cost me £6.60 with a ypr.
In on this. Breakfast too. And with the urgent committing-to-stuff done, now to start thinking the greater logistics through.

+1 for a Bendix breakfast

Breakfast at Tricity's sounds fun.
I sorted out some train tickets at the weekend- going to Bath (just for that bike path route in to Bristol) and then back from Exeter at some point on Sunday.
50 quid in all with a network railcard. -

For info: Clifton suspension bridge is going to be closed on the 13th so the ride will be heading out of Bristol via Sea Mills. The amended route will be up online at http://www.exmouthexodus.co.uk/ after the recce ride (in about 2 weeks).
If you join the mailing list you'll get route updates etc as and when they happen.

when will suspension bridge be back? I've never been on one, it would make me want to go..
-
• #37
Typically it's only closed for that one night due to reasons linked to the balloon festival :-(

Braker's route to Bristol is a beauty. I'm sure he could find a pleasant route from Exmouth back to London.
Be nice to see you again Sam.

logistics would be a little challenging.
When has that ever stopped you? ;)

Might be up for a cuppa tea, would be very welcome after the ride and I'd be nice getting to know more of the forum
I'm definitely doing it fixed this year. Don't really fancy scratching the carbon bike in attempt to retrofit a pannier. Will drop probably drop it from the usual gear though to about 70". I'm probably going to do the double depending on how I feel when I get there. I might ride to Bridgewater and get the train from there

You are completely nuts. Ace. If you do decide to do it, I would chip in if a few others are up for contributing...

Also, anyone booking on the train to Bristol don't forget your bike space... if you book through http://www.eastcoast.co.uk/ they give you it as an option as part of the booking process.

Oooh, up for this. Have a nagging feeling that date is taken though, alhtough why or with what, have no clue.
Will check the diary, the calender, the work diary and my phone - then if all's clear...
IN.
For ride and brekkie.
OUT for any crazy talk of riding back.

Hurrah! Time for a breakfast at Bendix's list. I will put everyone who's expressed interest in breakfast on but take yourself off if you can't make it/you've changed your mind or whatnot (and also add yourself if you're not on there and want to be). And let me know breakfast requests if you have any...
Just to warn people in advance, it's another 3.5 miles to Casa de Mama Bendix but it's all flat and on the cycle route.
