Haha not quite... it was a sturmey XRF-8 hub gear, designed for folders. Direct drive is in 4th gear so its effectively very high geared on a normal bike- hence the need for a small front chainring. It was a 32t chainring and 22t cog. It gave me a min of about 30-98 gear inches (might be wrong- just from memory)
Just as an aside, don't ever bother with one, it were shite.

I chose the blue one.
I would have rather had the brown one, but as I wanted to maximize the tire clearance, I was forced to take the 2012 model.

I just got email confirmation from On One that their frames are faced. There's paint on the ends though and judging by this article on Surly's website, you could carefully scrape that paint off the faces before fitting to save money. On One didn't seem to mention that.

Anyone had any experience running SKS mudguards with mini V's on a Pomp? Have they fitted okay?

Facing could leave some paint in place I believe. As long as it's a flat surface which is what the tool does.
Someone will probably leap in here and crucify me for being horribly wrong, but that's what I believe to be the case.

You need to face to a flat metal surface. Any dips which are just filled with paint are providing no worthwhile support to the bearing race.

I'm wanting to put some 32c or 35c slicks on my Pompino but I'm running open pro rims. I thought this was a no go but I've been reading on some other forums and people say they have been racing with open pros with 35 cx tyres for years with no problems. Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience running big tyres on narrow rims?

I put 700x37 Conti Sport Contacts on Shimano R500s once, which are a smidge wider than Open Pros. That experience, among others, was what led me to become a proselytiser for wide rims. I wouldn't want to ride an Open Pro with tyres bigger than 25c, simply because anything bigger has to be overinflated to give decent stability, making the fat tyre pointless.

My Pomp currently has an Open Pro on the rear and a similarly sized rim on the front, running under inflated (as in below the max rating) 35c Michelin City no problems.
Have in the past run 47c Conti Tour Rides on Open Pros, used for polo and tricks and such like so given a hard time, no issues.

On One just got back to me saying you can scrape off paint (just gonna use a new Stanley knife blade) but they wouldn't recommend sanding it.

Mmmm, but with your earlier post you were implying it shouldn't be done, this in turn implies it wouldn't be trouble free... In a bit of a pickle are we? And one persons 'optimum' may not be someone else's; theres a whole world of variables come into that argument, but i cant be bothered. So I've accepted your opinion, well done, have a lolly.

Well. there are different degrees of "shouldn't"; things you shouldn't do because they endanger somebody else, things you shouldn't do because they are against the regulations you've agreed to abide by, and things you shouldn't do because they are just less effective than alternatives which cost the same or less in time/money/energy consumption. Using wide tyres on narrow rims falls under the third class, unless you're racing cyclocross under UCI regulation, in which case it might come under the second one too.
Anyway, you keep doing it your way and choose your tyre pressure to give either ride or handling, and I'll do it my way and get both.

Bit like Marmite, but I'm happy with 28c Conti Gatorskins. Rarely puncture, with reasonable rolling resistance and good grip. Good fit on my Pomp together with SKS Chromeplastics.

Hi gussio, were the SKSs a straightforward fit? What type of brake(s) are you running with the SKS/Pomp?
