There are 120mm spaced hubs that'll take a screw on 5speed block.
Infact, I have one in my parts box I think.

What bars are they Dement? I'm considering swapping my drops to a riser of some sort.
-
• #5613
Id recommend the on one Mary bars. Reet comfy, only down side is mounting lights and stuff.
-
• #5614
It is a On One Mary bar on my bike. It kicks ass on a commuter.

Thanks, it's the Mary I was considering. Just bought new levers for the drops though, didn't plan this stuff well.

Operation stuck seat post in underway today. Bike turned upside down and some deep penetration spray has been put into the wish bone mud guard eyelet. I presume there is a hole that runs directly to the seat post through that tube so seemed the best way to get the spray to contact the issue rather than try feeding from the top as it doesn't look like it will go in there.
Fingers crossed it has an effect.

dawned on me i had a mongo moment this morning that wont work will it as the wishbone probably just buffers onto the seat tube and doesnt have a hole in the end to allow the oil through. God knows what i was thinking this morning.

What seat post? Ie Alu or carbon? And how attached to it are you?
Edit: I assume it is alu?
-
• #5619
yeah its alu. worst case im going to cut it out from the inside with a hack saw blade. Ive done it before with a different bike and post. I cant be messing about with violent chemicals.
-
• #5620
Fair enough. I like the chemical approach! You should be able to get some penetrating fluid in from the BB shell as a start before trying anything serious.

• #5621
I'm afraid of it

Would it not be cooler to use something involvning fire?

Took a detour through Wimbledon Common to try out new CX tyres... So much fun. Don't know why I've stuck to road for so long.

another question about what size pompino is best:
i'm about 6'1 and with 86cm inseam. my two current road bikes (both quite shit) have top tubes of 580 and 575mm and i feel a little stretched out on both. so, i was thinking the large size pomp, with a top tube of 565mm would be best, as the XL is 586
before i go ahead and order i was hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself could tell me if i've overlooked anything, e.g. due to the pomp's geo i should size up or something like that

They come up small, I'm 5'11 and was riding large with a 130mm stem.
You'll need a very long seat post to make it fit IMO. That being said I always look at the top tube length rather than the seat tube when buying a frame.
Very helpful, might look at a set of chain tugs with an integrated hanger. Definitely an option.
