On One Pompino owners...

Bugger, now I'm just confused.

"16t: blue locking ring, accommodates 3/32 chain only, Bearing size 6708

17t- 23t: red locking ring, accommodates 3/32 and 1/8 chain, bearing size 6808

18t,20t, 22t trials: green locking ring, accommodates 3/32 and 1/8 chain, bearing size 6808

16/18t DOS: blue locking ring, accommodates 3/32 chain only, bearing size 6708

17/19t, 20/22t DOS: red locking ring, accommodates 3/32 chain only, bearing size 6808"

Sorry. I wanted to do the same to get a 16t freewheel. The chain size isn't important. A single speed chain will work on all of the wi free wheels, but the cogs are only interchangeable with cogs with the same colour lock rings.

Headtube angle is more like 71-72.

So I'm going to weld a derailleur hanger onto a pompino, and cold-set the rear end to 130mm, any reason this shouldn't work?

That's just a kaffenback...

There are stories of the chainstays cracking on older pomps. However I had mine coldest to 135 without any issues to date.

Someone n this very thread did it using one of those hangers that thread onto the axle and clamp in...
