  • Slack, what size tyres are on that blue Pompino and are they on Mavic Open Pros? I can't quite tell from the picture.

  • Cheers man, nah I'm in Manchester. I put the brake on just for the sake of my knees when I'm riding with rack loaded up.

Ah okay, just curious as i recognize some of the graffiti in the back round.

It's not my bike so I'm not sure what tyres he's running. The rims look very much like open pro CD .

  • 32C grifos on Mavic Open Sport clinchers. The frame is a large.

  • I may be up for selling my bathroom blue Pompino £190 if anyone is interested PM me. A few scrapes and scratches to the paint but otherwise pretty good overall condition. Stronglight crankset 48T. Mavic CXP22 wheels on Ambrosio hubs double fixed cog 18 & 19. Thompson elite seatpost. Ritchey classic stem and bars. Front mini v. Selle Italia saddle. With SPDs and 2 x bottle cages & mudguards.

Sorry - reposted this in the for sale thread.

  • anyone planning on getting the new pomp when it drops?

  • I've been thinking about it, need to sell something first though so I've got somewhere to keep it!

  • Have we had any teasers? Not seen anything yet.

  • "New Pompino. New graphics. New paint. New geometry. Coming soon."

    there you go

  • Might pick one up for girlfriend if they don't bump the price up. Needs a new commuter.

  • yeah hopefully no super big price rise.
I've been wanting to build a bomb proof commuter for awhile now, so hopefully I'll pick one up. was looking at the all city nature boy but pretty $$$ and 130 rear spacing!

  • Would prefer 130 or 135 spacing personally. Easier to stick any old road wheel in and set the chain line with spacers. Good excuse for me to buy new wheels and donate the current ones...

  • ^^^^Cheers. I have actually seen that. You've jogged my memory.

I'll just stick with mine and get a new powdercoat when I can afford it. If I buy a new frame it'll be a pompetamine I reckon.

  • Noisy? Music to my ears TBH! Bloody peds just move much quicker even without the need to ring the bell. Those with headphones on though would do the same too with some shouting ;)

Only negative on Hope SS/Trials hub is that the bearings are not the best. Some Enduro replacements would sort that out.

Yeah, I think the only down side is that they're so bloody noisy!!!

    132.5mm spacing FTW.

  • Any news on the new pompino frameset? I e-mailed on-one about it but didnt get any reply.

  • What's with the slight "bump" on the underside of the downtube? Thought that this frame might have been crashed, but I see it on the others as well

    Reinforcing gusset

  • Reinforcing gusset

    Ah! Cool

  • My rack got it's first usage last night, picked up a bike for a mate.

  • Rad, you forgot his wheels though :/

  • they were strapped to my back (I took the photo)

  • Large. Surly tug FTW.

  • my current one bike policy means that I keep on throwing money at this. updates include narrower wcs curve bars, lizard skin tape and new rims and tires.

    apologies for cell pics!

  • ^ What are those brakes? They look extremely wide. Also what's the Lizard Skin tape like? I'm thinking of getting some.
