Mine again:
Is this a large or an xl?

• #3259
Finally today after ordering a frame that said it was in stock the week before Christmas I received a definite answer on what had happened to my order. They haven't got any in stock and were never going to get any more with the Dekerf stays. So I have been offered the option of either pompetamine frame or waiting for the new one until February. I've got some bb7 brakes in the loft but it would mean rebuilding my wheels with 135 disc hubs, also I cannot find a 1 1/8 carbon disc fork other than the kinesis one and I don't like the way it looks. So if anyone has any suggestions of other forks I'd love to hear....
The thing that has left a real pissed off bitter taste in my mouth it was that it took three weeks of them fucking about to tell me they could not supply a large white pompino, that all of the blue ones have gone too and if I want to use rim brakes I have to use their 'new' frame. One of the occasions where I have to agree with Tester, the new frame is built to hit a price point and for that you lose the only design feature that set it apart from any other cheap steel frame, not because of mud clearance or any other reason than because it makes the frame cheaper. So, because of their fuck up you can't buy a frame that won't be made again because of price constraints.

I'm not a fan of those forks either but thanks for the link. They use to come on the Trek Portland, much flex, little steer.

I'm just catching up with the posts on this thread, so the new pomp frames no longer have v-brake mounts? Are disc only just like the pompet and kaffenback?
-
• #3267
the new pompinos no longer have the wishbone stays.
he was offered a pompetamine (disc) instead. -
• #3268
They still have canti/v-brake boxes but no longer have the Dekeft stays just normal seat stays from now on.

• #3269

Cheers man, nah I'm in Manchester. I put the brake on just for the sake of my knees when I'm riding with rack loaded up.
