I have. It felt fine but makes a bit of a weird noise. #indra'd myself earlier though, had a moment of stupidity and stripped the lock ring thread on both sides of the hub so I'm gonna have to get a new one now. Fail.

Is anybody running cantilever brakes at the rear of their Pompino with a barrel adjuster at the frame cable housing stop?

On my rear brake I have a Jagwire in-line barrel adjuster (http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/jagwire-in-line-cable-adjusters-for-brake-gear-cables-prod24781/) at the front (in the rear cable) and I've decided it looks messy and wish to tidy it up. The only problem is the barrel adjuster doesn't fit the frame stop.

Can anyone recommend a barrel adjuster that will fit?

When I built mine my choices were very limited. I went with an Easton EC70X for a few reasons - common sight at local CX races, not too odd-looking (I think the frame suits a straight fork), and lastly it was available for under $200 USD. Taped over logos, then more recently painted it to match repainted frame. Pics are in 'Another Effing Pompino' thread.

It does occasionally rain in Spain. A desert may Bea better option but the sand wouldn't do bearings any good.

Living on the coastal side of mountain range so the trade winds bring warm air past you, to condense further inland is as good as it gets AFAIK.

I have a set of wheels build up with H+son archetype rims and Hope pro II hubs 6bolt with a singlespeed conversion kit. I'm thinking of using the avid BB7 brakes with 160mm disc. Do you guys think it wil fit? Beacause on the site of on one they recomennd centrelock disc wheels for maximum fork clearance...

are they road or MTB BB7? I think there have been issues with MTB BB7 on the rear if the wheel is slammed.

The fork is a bit of a tight fit, but it does work. If you're planning on using big tyres and need to run backwheel at the end of the dropouts, you might need a bigger disc.

I will be riding 32mm tyres so i guess they would fit without anny problems? About the brakes i still need to buy them so is there a big difference between the road or mtb bb7 brakes? I was looking on the internet to find some photo's of the hope pro II hubs on a pompetamine frame but is seems they are hard to find :) .

The road version are short pull for drop or BMX style levers while the MTB version are for long pull v brake levers.

I'm not pulling it out from the bottom of the bike pile at this time of night, but this Pompetamine with standard fork has a Pro2 hub and 203mm rotor, and it's fine.

As otter's said, the biggest difference is in the pull of the brakes, road is short pull and regular BB7 are long pull. If you run regular BB7s on drop brake levers, you would experience a spongy feeling or brake fade when you brake hard which is not the ideal setup. Road disc calipers also comes with a 140mm rotor option.

As for photos of Pompetamine with hope pro II check out Chris Borneo's pomp, he runs those hubs.

From my experience, I'd recommend the BB7 road calipers as you can use them with BMX levers for flat bars (which work really well!) and still have the option to use them with drops if you go down that route in the future. Also I think there may be clearance issues with the MTB ones on the back. As for rotors, I'd reccomend the original Avid 160mm front and rear. You cannot run a 140 on the back.
