I run 160mm with BB7s on my Inbred with slot dropouts, which are the same as on the Pomp. Tight fit though.

Yeah, that's really helpful. My wheel's pretty much in the middle of the dropout now but I'm planning to change the gearing to use it off road so it could end up back in the ends or super slammed depending on what gear works. Do you reckon a 180 would work with it slammed or in the middle? Do you reckon I might need two rotors?

203 ftw!

Movin the 160 from the front to the rear and goin 180 on the front. Bit overkill maybe but if I have to go 180 on the rear at any time I'll only need to buy one more rotor.

I went and looked after I posted and you're right, only 12 left in my size.
I'll cross me fingers that a couple of small frames are left when the new ones come in, I think I could defs stretch to one if it was <£100 -

New geo... any details?
-
• #2920
Let's hope there is a bigger one. Or at least that the XL is modified for non-T-Rexes.

• #2921
Hopefully steeper angles. Current pompinos are much too relaxed imo.

Yeah but I never felt short of stopping power with the 160 and I'm trying to keep the weight down now, where I can. The Hope 180 is a fair bit beefier than the 160 as well as bigger diameter I reckon it must weigh twice as much. Also my front rotor is now bigger than my chainring which just looks a bit shit imo.

I want 130 spacing on the Pompino. Why not? Track wheel for commuting, road wheel with spacers for sscx seems ideal for me.

A proper SS wheel is stronger than a road wheel; no dish, innit? One of these if you want a freewheel smaller than 16T

That'll fit. I'd only do a handful of races and a cx sportive each year (and just ride fixed for the rest). It'd be nice just to chuck a spare touring wheel in.
I had 160mm with summer tyres. Now i have these big-ass tyres and i had to de-slam the wheel all the way to the end of the dropouts, so i actually had to use 180mm rotor to make it work.
So depends where the axle comes in the dropouts. (yeah it's a bit of a design fault)
Hope this helps.
