YES!!! You're a legend ;D
Thanks!
(those are £45 tires (each)!!!)Anyone tell me what bar this is and is that a Thompson stem?
-
• #228
An FSA Wing is the classic bar of that shape.
-
• #229
Anyone know what forks those are ^, look like a nicer option than Pompino ones.
-
• #230
Surly?
-
• #231
You're not looking to build one are you nuknow?
I am building one ;)
Not sure if a Pompino though, got to agree with negaatio here: "...I think the real question is why wont on one make pompinos more attractive like surly does...".
Not that I dislike the Pompino that much, but I'd go with carbon forks maybe, cyclocross ones.
I like the fact Pompinos are cheap as chips.*Glad this isn't Italy :D

the real question is why wont on one make pompinos more attractive
Because that's not what they are for.
-
• #233
I think in On One's eyes they are attractive. They talk about 'sexy thin seatstays' in the blurb.
But it's all relative. And nuknow has high standards!

I love how the Pompino looks above, that cyclocross horse.... but not with OG forks, that curvy rake doesn't work for me.
Haven't seen one with carbon forks.

He looks, he finds..
(It's actually a belt drive Pompino!)

With an Askium front wheel, Marathon tyres...
Frankenbeikes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
:)
-
• #237
And Planetx PX forks (carbon).
-
• #238
I'm becoming Edscoble.... :(

• #239
We all are, in a way...
-
• #240
We all need to Deal with its.

• #241
CX wound-ups on a Pompino Nuno? or the cx Kinesis...with disc brakes :)
-
• #242
Mass suicide. Forum ride off Beachy Head?
(not a useful fork option)
-
• #243
I don't like disc brakes.

• #244

which is the worrying part as those rims are usually designed up to 28c tyres, if the marathon plus is bigger than that, then it might be a bit risky to ride with those tyres.

CX wound-ups on a Pompino Nuno? or the cx Kinesis...with disc brakes :)
Neither.
I would do WU but can't justify £300 forks.
-
• #246
Or get a surly fork.
-
• #247
...and a surly frame... I like the idea of a steamroller with canti mounts.
Nee to get one used and frankenbike it. -
• #248
Minimonster-cross. :)
-
• #249
They're nice. That one's mounts have vanished?
-
• #250
Forget it. I was thinking of a Crosscheck.
A steamroller would be rubbish off road.
I am currently in the process of selling every spare bike and component I have to fund a clear coated Pompetamine with gum wall tyres. You're not looking to build one are you nuknow?
