  • +1 for the bail, I don't have a bat but got the rest of my stuff...soz guys

  • Already on the train (no bike due to carrying kit in today) hence the change in weather. Ben has a bat, balls and gloves so kit should be ok.

  • Ok official call off. Not to worry. Nets with out a bat ain't to much fun. Has any one got harran's number to inform him?

  • Er now I'm confused ken are u coming?, oh seven 81788five 031 gimmea shout if people are...

  • I'm at the pub round the corner from nets still up if we have a bat

  • Sorry trying to post from phone. I'm not going to be there, looks like I made the wrong call with the weather.

  • Sorry for the confusion, ben i thought you had a bat and it took so long for my post to go through your post showed up before mine.

Looks like I may have invoked sod's law, but i did hold out at work as long as i could and it didn't look like it would clear, sorry. Still i'll be raring to go next week.

  • right bit of a confusion getting people up there tonight, mobile numbers, needed

    Rich: oh7 94 six six 4831 nine

  • i take it cricket didn't happen today. sorry i had to pull out.

my phone number is rich's number minus 184705871. <<< how's that for security?!

  • We have always depended on the kindness of strangers - basically Rich and I turned up and joined in with some friendly people who had booked the adjacent nets.

    The rest of you, HTFU!

  • good stuff. i played on friday at like 5.30 in clapham common nets with strangers. bowled a couple of people too (both inside edges played on)

  • how far is Paddington recreation ground from paddington station?

  • I will have finished my exams by then so yeah, hopefully, thanks mate :)

  • paddington rec from paddington by bike is nothing but you won't want to walk it

  • Ahh ok, so maida vale is looking as the better option. Its just i live in walthamstow so the bakerloo line would mean i have to cross over at oxford circus, which seems like the best option time wise

  • I'm not able to make tomorrow, had a last minute meeting arranged and it looks like it will go well past 7pm, I have been managing to steer all other meeting clear of Wednesday nights as well.
So I have all my equipment in the office (bat, pads, gloves, balls and helmet), I am based in Holborn (red lion square) and will be around all day today and tomorrow if anyone wants to collect. Otherwise I could drop them off central somewhere.

Rich you work central don't you? If it's just the bat I can drop that off today if you are around?

Bit of a bummer, but on the plus side it does mean my shoulder gets a rest.

  • im out tomorrow as im on thye night shift, so best off someone else grabbing the kit from K if they want to.

    havea good one

  • Ken i can probably collect your gear. keep an eye on the thread tomorrow.

should still be a goer without rich and ken. i think we have ben, oliver and me and likely haran and alex (ben's friend)

  • ^would only need your bat and pads, or possibly only pads

  • ill show, got a bat, gloves balls, box, thighpad, harans helmet, dunno about alex, ill text him tomoz

  • sounds like pads is all we need.

ben - PM me your email address. i wrote a match report of monday's game! i don't normally (or ever) do that but really felt it was a great effort from all involved and i wanted to pay tribute and also share with the others who didn't play this week

  • haran - i see you lurking. if you could bring pads tomorrow, we don't need any kit from Ken this week

  • Yeah, injured my back last week,- still getting shooting pains down my right leg. I will confirm whether or not I can make it tomorrow, although I should probably give it a miss if I want to make some forum rides next month.

  • ooh bad news. was that from cricket? GWS
