Already on the train (no bike due to carrying kit in today) hence the change in weather. Ben has a bat, balls and gloves so kit should be ok.

Ok official call off. Not to worry. Nets with out a bat ain't to much fun. Has any one got harran's number to inform him?

Sorry trying to post from phone. I'm not going to be there, looks like I made the wrong call with the weather.
-

Sorry for the confusion, ben i thought you had a bat and it took so long for my post to go through your post showed up before mine.
Looks like I may have invoked sod's law, but i did hold out at work as long as i could and it didn't look like it would clear, sorry. Still i'll be raring to go next week.

We have always depended on the kindness of strangers - basically Rich and I turned up and joined in with some friendly people who had booked the adjacent nets.
The rest of you, HTFU!

good stuff. i played on friday at like 5.30 in clapham common nets with strangers. bowled a couple of people too (both inside edges played on)

how far is Paddington recreation ground from paddington station?
-
• #438
Closest station is Maida Vale - about 5 minutes walk.
^Point B on that link
See you on Wednesday?

• #439
I will have finished my exams by then so yeah, hopefully, thanks mate :)
-
• #440
paddington rec from paddington by bike is nothing but you won't want to walk it
-
• #441
Ahh ok, so maida vale is looking as the better option. Its just i live in walthamstow so the bakerloo line would mean i have to cross over at oxford circus, which seems like the best option time wise

I'm not able to make tomorrow, had a last minute meeting arranged and it looks like it will go well past 7pm, I have been managing to steer all other meeting clear of Wednesday nights as well.
So I have all my equipment in the office (bat, pads, gloves, balls and helmet), I am based in Holborn (red lion square) and will be around all day today and tomorrow if anyone wants to collect. Otherwise I could drop them off central somewhere.Rich you work central don't you? If it's just the bat I can drop that off today if you are around?
Bit of a bummer, but on the plus side it does mean my shoulder gets a rest.

-
• #446

-
• #447
sounds like pads is all we need.
ben - PM me your email address. i wrote a match report of monday's game! i don't normally (or ever) do that but really felt it was a great effort from all involved and i wanted to pay tribute and also share with the others who didn't play this week
-
• #448
haran - i see you lurking. if you could bring pads tomorrow, we don't need any kit from Ken this week
-
• #449
Yeah, injured my back last week,- still getting shooting pains down my right leg. I will confirm whether or not I can make it tomorrow, although I should probably give it a miss if I want to make some forum rides next month.
