people will bowl bouncers at you if you wear a helmet. especially drivers (unless you wear a women's wig and hi-viz jacket)

Yeah, helmets only protect you from low-velocity impacts anyway, so will be useless against all but buffet bowlers.

when i'm bowling at someone without a helmet i subconciously bowl a foot wider. that's my excuse anyway

Count me in, I've brought my kit in so might as well use it. Hope there is four of us though as my shoulder won't cope with any more bowling than normal.
