  • The Aussies got knocked out in the heats so it's 100% accurate.

  • This must be a representation of Beijing then, not 2012.. date fail.

  • It's clearly not an accurate representation since there's no Aussie jerseys in front of those blue and red ones..

Just about to get caught in the pursuit?

  • The only time the Brits will be 1-2 across the finish line is during track testing and when it's open to the public. Get in there RPM! :)

  • Already have :p

Not a burger's chance at fatclub your gold n' greens will touch our lot, especially in the pursuits

  • It depends if the guys setting all those records are tempted by gold medals or roadie cash.

  • probably roadie cash seeing as the IP isn't an olympic event anymore.

or will Bobridge split himself into multiple persons, like that bloke in Heroes could?

  • You've not been watching the rest of the team then?

  • Last time I looked we still held most of the world records.

  • Ga2g?

  • 'Cos outside of the adverts it didn't actually work.

    This man speaks the truth.

    A disappointed TCR owner.

I had one, too, and it did work, up to a point--it was just a lot more difficult to control the cars. I was rubbish at it and rarely managed more than two full laps, but a friend of mine got round quite a lot of laps without any problems--just faster reactions and a better feel for speed. The other thing was that the cars often broke down. Plus, of course, it didn't become very successful and there wasn't a lot of very interesting expansion stuff available. Most of the time, we played with my friend's Faller A.M.S. Racing slot track.

Wow, that track is amazing. Like a landscaped model railway.

Boardman's now-illegal position record, so the real record was Wiggos and was beaten by an Aussie.

Scotland's famous Scottish rider Chris Hoy has a few. He's great isn't he? :-*

You get to keep the pursuit for now but hopefully the London track is faster the Beijing so we can take that back. We've won more pursuit titles than any other nation so it's only right we have the record back.

  • The best thing about Scalextric is building ridiculous tracks under chairs, over the cat etc. I would like this if it were a TDF branded road racing set that you could buy extra bits for and make them ride up the stairs.

  • it may lead to other, more interesting cycling toys.

A bike, you mean? Who needs other toys when you get a bike for Xmas?

    NAFC

might have to have a side order extra on this as I get hungrier by the week, you better get a bank loan sorted cos I've got an appetite building!

    No, not a bike. That's so 1970s.

Am I the only that making the engine noises to himself?

  • anyone?

Oh, whoops, bye bye Boardman's record..

  • Already been commented on in the Why Are Aussies so fond of reposts thread.

  • Did the Aussies get the email from the IOC about the IP being dropped? They are going to be angry nobody told them.

Bobridge broke Boardman's "unbeatable" IP record!!!!! Did you hear?? How fucking awesome is that???

    Fucking awesome!

The IP is still part of the Omnium and a strong IP can't hurt in a team pursuit, plus it's still a world record and world cup/champ event so you're just acknowledging that you're losing on that front. It's ok RPM.. so long as they do BBQ sauce I won't hurt your wallet too much.
