What are the things that look like 'gear cable style inline adjusters' on my hydraulic hoses?
Also, what do I do if my brakes are currently rubbing?

Probably anti frame rub buffers or something.

Reset the pistons then re-align the caliper.
Check out the manual fo' yo' brakes to find out how to reset without buggering them up.

Anyone got any Magura Disc Hose going spare? Need enough for a front brake.

Have you finally bought a new cross bike?

Yes, I have. A Felt - F4X. Very nice, but a bit of a learning curve for maintenance!

You still playing polo?

And scorn for that cabling to be poured on Tredz - not me!

Looks like they've joined two lengths of hose together.
Have a similar problem - dismal online bike purchase setup - hence request for disc tube above :)
But yours is worse!

Tredz...
...aka Wheelies: have a quick Goggle for reviews of Wheelies, then find a competent mechanic to check your bike over.

@owlz since the f4x comes with cable discs and not hydtos as done seem to be assuming, ic at those things that look like inline barrel adjuster...are probably inline barrel adjusters.
Nice touch to add them. The Spyres have barrel adjusters on the caliper but these inline ones allow you a bit if 'on the fly' adjustment.

Ah ok my bad, I actually looked on Wiggle, Merlin, Leisurewheels and Tredz and they all said TRP Spyre for the brakes.

Ah, I'd looked at 2015 spec.

Maybe some sort of dry lock coupling to allow the retailer to set up which lever controls which brake.

Aha - I've found it, I think:

Ooh. I like the look of those. Happy to give you a crash course in disc setup if you think it'd help.

Should tt style levers work with road bb7 calipers, if so is there anything I need to know? Got some bull horn bars I was considering trying and think I would, if its possible prefer tt style levers rather than the flat bar levers (sram via) I currently have. Would be good to know before I buy levers/start wrapping bars.

The bit about replacing an internal skewer with an external one is a joke

Nothing useful to say but I want post #1000!
Took the pads out and gave them and the rotors a quick sanding, seems to have sorted most of the problem. The rotor also had a very small wobble in it, couple of minutes truing it with a large spanner has helped
