Worn looking 2002-2006 Louise Type 3.2? Wonder if any shops will have them in stock?
-
• #304
Usually lots of Shimano pads in stock
-
• #305
M1S sintered pads from Superstar components by the looks of it.
-
• #306
Nothing local. Will ride voodoo until I can get these online.

Why sintered? What's the diff. between organic, kevlar, sintered, semi-metal, etc?
Can get a set of 4 for £18. Is there a cost/quality trade-off with pads I should know about?
-
• #309
Yes, I bought a nice 11 spd Shimano cassette to go on a bike that isn't the one running Magura hydro discs.

Get the sintered or semi metallic ones, I've just been through a pair of organic pads and they weren't any grippier. Just squealed horribly and wore out after three weeks. I've got some Jagwire semi metallic now which are very good, quiet and powerful braking.

I've got sintered ones on the way. Even the worst disc brakes are probably more powerful than my old rim brakes so not too concerned about much other than longevity.

• #312
Pushing the other bike there's a high pitch squeal. Do I need to do andyp trick of centring the disc or is there another adjustment?
-
• #313
The noise it the bike protesting at having your weight on it and it telling you it needs Shimano.
-
• #314
It could either need that or the rotor isn't straight. Is it constant or intermittent?
-
• #315
Pushing
This.
-
• #316
I'd have to roll it out again and check if it lasted a whole rotation. It's very subtle so I didn't notice it at first, it's not audible when riding.
-
• #317
Try and resist the urge to lubicated the rotor.
-
• #318
Pretty sure I have more of an understanding of braking than you're giving me credit for.
-
• #319
Should I use WD40 or chain lube?
-
• #320
I find getting dot fluid over everything particularly helpful in the battle against functioning brakes

• #321
Anyone run Spyres with flat bar levers (with the correct cable pull...)? Assuming it would work fine...
-
• #322
Can't see why not, there's an MTB version as well.
-
• #323
Magura don't use DOT but getting oil on their shit is also ruinous.
-
• #324
Looks like I need a Magura bleed kit. Still, the process sounds easy enough.
