I'm in for this but definately on gears if the likes of the col de canobie are in the route, i'd never get up there on my 50-16 without it sounding like I was in a grunt-off with Maria Sharapova and it's a family ride by the sounds so would'nt want to scare the children.

^it's possible, but the amount of swearing required to get to the top is not family-suitable...
