Got a few more bars in my ear.

2nd from left is about a month old and still a little swollen on the inside. Another month and it should be fully healed.
2nd from right was fresh the day I took the pic.
Bars are 1.6 x 10mm at the moment to allow for any swelling etc. Give a couple more months and they'll be shortened to 6mm. Smaller balls on the inside and probably black cones on the outside. Not sure whether to keep the scaffold or swap it for short bars. Only one way to find out I guess.

By the time all of those have healed - probably January sometime as I keep sleeping on that side, I'm going to try and work out how to get one last bar around the back. Spaced the same as the others. The issue is the cartilage or lack of in that area. I think I'll see if I can get a curved bar so that it goes through the cartilage then still shows out the back. I'll work something out with the piercer, she knows what I'm after.

I miss my scaffold. :(
None of my holes have ever closed so know I could pop em back in(albeit maybe at 1.2mm to start) but just never got round to it.

When I was knocked off my bike last year the nurse was impressed, apparently the scaffold had stopped my ear folding right over and tearing the cartilage so the fleshy bit on the outside took the brunt. 8 stitches in around the rear piercing. I'm going to leave keep the bars in there to hide the scars.

Yup, my conch is fine, popped it back in after having it out for a couple of years. Been back in for over a year at 1.2mm with no issues. Recently stretched my lobes up to 12mm as well but not intending on going bigger as I don't really like the look of it and would struggle with ear defenders sealing properly at work if they were any bigger.

I've also found that issue with ear defenders and headphones at work. I can get away with using earplugs as I don't use them that often, found a nice set of reusable ones. With the headphones I'm customizing a set to fit around the bars, annoying that companies don't make different sized foam bits.

Earplugs do the job if I'm pissing around doing scenery building/stuff on set, but for tree surgery I have to wear big-arse defenders that block out the whole world.
Never had an issue getting my ears in defenders when I had scaffold and other assorted crap in my ears, maybe I have small ears...
Probably just a case of trying loads of different brands til you find a pair that work. Sordin's seem to work best for me(although there are limited options for helmet mounted in the range I need), peltors had really small inserts that seemed to small for anyone and didn't seal, let alone if you had a headful of nails...

That program, uneducated girls making bad jewellery and stretching choices. I have never shouted so much at a tv.

Quentin could have done the ear reconstruction and the dimple holes. Oh and the laser removal in a much more hygienic way.

^ Yeah that guy doing a procedure in a dark business suit seemed a little odd.

This whole series is a bit weak and unsavoury to be honest.

All done for this ear, I might get a conch punched sometime.
