316l is ok for most people unless they have a allergy to the smallest amount of nickle. Ti is pretty good, but wood, stone and bamboo are nicer when made well and made out of good stuff

yeah thats what you should use with an unhealed piercing. My silicone tunnel was cheap as hell from ebay and never had a problem. I prefer it to my metal tunnels because it doesn't smell and weighs nothing.

Surgical quality/grade stainless steel no good? Seems to be a logical thing to use.

I had to wear teflon when I got my ears scalpelled. They were heavy compared to my glass. But my ears feel so might lighter now I've switched them

Haha ive never had a problem. take them out all the time when i have a bath, put either emu oil, joboja oil or vitamin e and put them back in = happy fat good circulation lobes!

I have never had a problem myself but some clients have presented themselves to me with stinky ears, amoungst other stinky piercings - I take mine out every night, am re insert my wood plugs with emu oil - Love that stuff, good for tattoos as well

I only ever clean mine when it smells. Which was once a week with metal/wood but now I only do it when I remember, because it never smells.

You put silicone in a freshly stretched piercing? Fail.

It wasn't really freshly stretched, that's why I thought I can get away with it.
I swapped a flesh tunnel for a plug and it was slightly irritated and slightly swallen. I actually put the size smaller silicone plug to let it settle, but because of the wide collar something went wrong. The only surgical steel I could find was 6mm. Not good. Now I'm back to square one

I assumed you stretched with the wooden one, then put the silcone one in the same day.

Pfte tape! Or Bondage tape. Or go to bodyjewelleryshop and order some titanium or glass for cheaps and they usually deliver by 48hrs :)
