It's a shame that the list has dropped down to 19 from 90 before the date change... looking forward to it though!

Going for an inverse list to rider relationship. Instead of 90 signed up and only 60 turning up, we are going for 20 on the list and 30 turning up.
Keep it random, no more lists, raise the entropy level, down with the list makers.

Actually by doing this, we are creating a ride which is in the original style of the forum rides... Small, close and a little gorrilla...

Another thought: Is there likely to be much of the marathon setup already done the night before - finish line, etc - or can we expect to find a lot of it going on while we're riding round?

One thing that really strikes home on the video from last year is the ride over the finish line. Nice :-) I assume that's not going to be there in that form this time round...

He'll make noises of going. Write about which bike he'll ride. Then write about something that stopped him, most porbably being in a bad mood or trying to sort out linux on a computer. Or perhaps making a bamboo bike. Then say he went and did it himself. Three times. Then will talk about scones being amazing.

and i think saying london marathon don't want "our support" is a bit much! we are not contributing anything to them, in money, publicity or anything! we are at worst a hazardous nuisance (not IMO but it is one school of thought), and at best a tolerated irrelevant activity
