Have you got Bailey Nelson out in the UK? Really nice frames, very competitively priced with lenses included... AU$145!!
I need some computer specs straight away, if I didn't need mine so urgently I'd go there in a shot...

Any recommendations for sunglasses models or brands for people with wide/large heads? I am struggling for anything decent (and have done for years). Looking for classic style frames and nice lenses. Shopping at the usual variety of sunglasses/ department stores has been an uninspiring and fruitless experience. It’s not like I’m the f*cking Mekon.

Shuron has a stunning range in widths, lengths, lens size, colour, material...

I've picked up a few pairs from Bloc that I've been very happy with for the price. The descriptions tend to give a decent idea on what size they suit and they have free returns.

@aggi @withered_preacher Thanks both. Will take a gander at these.

Can't be doing with expensive sunglasses because I'll invariably lose/break them. Has anyone got any good recommendations for decent options sub £40? Or any moody but decent knock-offs...

As above, I'd recommend Bloc https://www.bloceyewear.com/sunglasses-c1 Plenty of decent sub-£40 stuff

Ah nice - don't suppose you know any London stockists I could pop to and try some on?
-
• #714
Think they're online only. Free returns though

Ah OK, I'll have a look properly. Cheers!

What do you do with your old frames? My prescription has changed so treated myself to some new frames and now have two old frames I’m not so keen on with old lenses.
-
• #718
Donate them, the lenses and frames get recycled and given to people that need them...
-
• #719
I hadn’t even considered that. Opticians at the bottom of my road donate to Vision Aid.

London stockists
As well as lots of tkmax they're often in surf and winter sports stores.
Another +1 for Bloc.

I've had a terrible experience. I've broken my favourite pair of sunglasses which were a gift from my then girlfriend, now fiancée.
They fell from my pocket at a wedding and were trampled, broken beyond repair. If anyone could help at all in directing me towards a pair to replace them I would be forever grateful, I've emailed Persol to see if there is anything they can do but it appears that they've been discontinued.
Help!

^ There's a pair on ebay.de if that helps?

Wrong colour unfortunately.

I'll have a look there now! Must be only on Ebay.de as I couldn't find from other ebay but that's a good tip thanks!
I think you can rub them with acetone, but I'm not sure. That's what my memory says but a quick google says not. Conclusion seems to be to polish and oil to get the shine back, bit it has tp be done every few weeks
